Should Eden sell porn?

I am disappointed EF doesn't carry DVDs. Sure, there are tens of thousands of sites out there where you can watch online, but you have to sift through a lot of garbage to find something you like all the while risking the health of your computer or other WED.

Plus, it's a whole lot more comfortable to pop in a DVD you know you'll like and recline on the comfort of your bed or sofa. You can skip to the good parts, mute the sound, rewind, etc. The best part is it's yours forever. Downloading from online sites is like playing Russian Roulette, in my opinion. I have seen many a friend's laptop compromised--sometimes beyond repair--by online porn watching.

I agree with whomever said EF should carry quality pre-selected videos. I would definitely come here to buy if I knew you carried quality, sex-positive stuff.

Let me make this clear - I do watch porn from time to time and feel that porn is acceptable. Most "in the hole" sex shops sell hard core porn, whereas boutique sex shops, if anything, sell soft core and instructional movies. This site used to be geared more towards self pleasure but has been slowly going towards the boutique-y couple side. THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE. From a marketing and business standpoint you need to understand that selling porn would diminish that ambiance. Some couples do watch porn together, however, a lot of people would be turned off by Eden selling porn, and would either not try going to the website or actually buy anything from Eden because of the vibe it sends to them. It seems better to take on new customers for profit than to make a little profit from the porn distribution. By a "little profit" I mean that like music, porn is coming more available online for free. Also now that it is becoming more available online it has opened up new windows for other things online. If you don't like that they choose not to sell porn then you need to find somewhere else to buy it because I do not see them selling porn anytime soon.

I don't pay for porn, so it wouldn't bother me if they sold it or not.

Funny thing is my husband and I were just searching for porn and found porn with kits just not by itself. Found a lot of dirty books but no porn.

It doesn't really make a difference to me one way or the other.

Me neither! I didn't really notice since I don't really have a desire to buy porn, but I support Eden's decision.

Kinda glad it's gone. It'd be okay if they only sold really nicely done porn, but most places go for quantity over quality.

I am personally VERY glad Eden doesn't sell porn anymore, for ethical reasons. I know this is probably purely a business decision on their end, but it's much appreciated by me.

I think it would be hard to stock a wide enough selection to make it worth everyone's while. I think porn is shifting more toward online/VOD technology, so it's hard to sell the DVD stuff and make a profit. I'd rather see them expand their toy line; there are so many new and interesting variations on toys.

I find it interesting that they don't carry porn, but not disappointing. There are too many genres, and so many names. For me, this place is where to get toys. I know that I would subconsciously judge, if the porn selections weren't up to my expectations or style. But toys... toys are everyone's style.

I still think Eden should sell porn. I'm a woman, in a relationship and I HATE soft core.

Also, there are a lot fewer men's toys than woman's toys, so the men on the site used to at least have porn to review to keep up, now they have a LOT less stuff to review.

Thirdly, those who claim Eden is "too classy" to sell hard core porn.... really? It's a sex toy site, that sells stuff like this:
and this

Classy? Let's not forget it's a sex toy site. All the jazzed up pink subtle toys in the world don't change that fact.

I wish there was a place around here that I could rent porn from. I hate committing to an expensive DVD only to find out I HATE the material or the women/men are too annoying and gross to watch.

The porn industry is up in the air right now, you just don't hear about it. It's similar to the situation that music is in, only worse. When there was no internet the only place to get porn was on DVDs/VHS's, or to see it on the TV, but ... more
I agree. I don't see the investment in inventory and manpower as being profitable in the long run. Now, "info-tainment" DVD's like Nina's or Tristan's DVD selections might be worth keeping in stock.

I think a place like Eden would be the perfect spot to promote "good" porn. Of course "good" is a very personal definition but I think Eden would be THE place to sell porn that is not the stuff you get everywhere.
Like feminist porn or more including films and such because Eden has a big name even internationally and they could be the beacon of hope for everyone who doesn't enjoy gender stereotyped and sexist stuff.

No. It’s nice coming to a site to shop and converse with others without being bombarded with porn. - K

I really wish they did because I have bought one real porno in my life and it's way better than the stuff you get online. I have never gotten a virus from the websites that I am on but I do know that I take a risk every time I get on. The nice thing about buying DVDs is that I would have a small collection of movies that I like so when I feel like watching one I just go and pick one out and I don't have to take time to start up the computer and another 20-30 minutes to find a video that I actually like because I too am like Stormy in that I am very picky when it comes to what I watch.
