Working in the porn industry?

Kim! Kim!
This may seem like an odd question but honestly I'm not even sure where to start.
I've been considering working in the porn industry, behind the scenes. I'm currently finishing up my BA in Media Study, which involves video stuff so I'm not entirely clueless behind the camera or at the computer editing.
But where do I even start to find a job? We're moving to Florida at some point so should I look up studios in the area and contact them directly?

A lot of porn studios have contact information on their websites. If I were you I'd find/contact a smaller, less known studio and start working their so that you can build up a bit of a portfolio in the industry. From there you can try moving to some of the larger and more pronounced companies.

Just don't be picky about where you start out. Another event you might want to check out is the Adult Video Awards, and other porn conventions. It always pays off to get to know people who are a part of the industry you are hoping to get involved in.

Awesome, thanks for being super-helpful! I was thinking about following some people on Twitter as well.

Also, webcam sites are a great gateway to being in the industry.
