I have recently started a new sexual relationship with a man who is larger than average. In our first encounter I provided Lifestyles Ultra Thin condoms for use. He said they were uncomfortably tight and I actually had a hard time getting them on him. So the next time we were together I got Trojan Magnum Ultra Thins.


I know many men who have complained about the “unnatural” feel of condoms in attempts to circumvent their use. This guy is different in that in addition to the “unnatural feel” complaint, he also says the condoms are so tight they pinch him (even the Magnums.) I can see he is straining in the condoms, even the Magnums. The issue is not so much the length, but the girth.


To be fair, he isn't being pushy or excessively whiny, it's that I would like to make the whole condom experience as pleasant as possible for him because I am actually starting to “like” him in a romantic way. Do any of you have any suggestions for more “comfortable” condoms for the male in MF intercourse? I don't have any material allergies BTW. Thanks.

Yes, there are custom-made condoms available as well as extra-large condoms. Maybe Beyond 7 or Inspiral would be more comfortable. Or, maybe a Reality female condom would work well for you.

First of all, Trojans--in my opinion--are absolute shit. I've never enjoyed sex with them.

Kimono condoms are very thin and reliable, and come in a variety of sizes. If I don't have Kimonos, I fall back on Durex.

I usually use Durex, because they're inexpensive but still have good quality, though I've never had size as an issue. I agree with Backseat Boohoo - Trojans kinda suck. The normal ones are tight on my average sized boyfriend, so I can imagine the Magnums might be too tight for someone larger.

Those Inspiral look like a good option. Hmm... maybe I need to get an order together to get free shipping with them!!

There is an Amazon store called Undercover Condoms that apparently ships for free. I haven't ordered from them just yet (although I plan to get Kimonos and Okamotos from them soon), but I've heard rave reviews.

Also, is the Inspiral the one with the twisted shape? Because if it is, I heard it isn't very reliable.

I've only bought one thing through them on amazon.. it took FOREVER to arrive..

I too found that Trojans suck!..big time. The feel, the tightness on guys w big heads is too much.. I try to use Okeido, available from EF but hey are more expensive. My b/f has a "big head" and no complaints; he won't squirm.. Very little latex odor and they feel and look good to me. I first discovered them in Europe, v popular there.
My backup is Durex then Lifestyles.

Inspiral one is the one with a twisted shape and two rather large bubble-looking parts at the tip. Not reliable? Ick.

Most of my sexual history being with my husband, I don't have a whole lot of experience with different condom brands. Given that, I've even noticed that Trojans (cheap and readily available at nearly any grocery or drug store) are uncomfortably tight on a 1.5 inch thick dick. I've used Durex and Lifestyles, but I wouldn't say they are remarkably better. I don't really have any advice to offer here, but I'll sure take the advice that's already been given. I need to buy me some different condoms. I still have to try a female condom. I've been curious about them for awhile and have a suspicion I would prefer them. Any brands anyone would recommend? I really don't even know what brands make female condoms.
