Have I ever received flowers? Yes, but not from my current guy (of almost 9 years).
My ex used to give me bouquets of flowers all the time, mostly to tick me off though (we were broke).

Sigel is just as romantic as Arch but it seemed in the early years that any flower he would buy for me would die horribly fast and rosebuds would die without even opening. So he decided to buy me a lovely card or something sweet instead. He said it felt like he was presenting me with dead weeds and professing his love! Turns out he just couldn't afford the better cut flowers because now my flowers open majestically and are just amazing.

Yes and 23, Female. Oddly enough I have only given flowers. None of my mates seemed to think of flowers and me in proximity, so the closest gift I've ever gotten was home-made chocolates, once.
Sci-fi and lingerie are awesome v-day and anniversary gifts, don't get me wrong, (and defiantly more suited to my personality) but it makes me a bit sad that no flowers have manifested yet for my secret almost-girly side.

This guy who tried to date me brought me 2 dozen roses after I explicitly said that roses were my most hated flower ever ever ever (I remember having a very rant-y conversation with him about it for somereason before this incident) needless to say that and some other circumstances made me cross him off my potential list.

I have given and received flowers many times. One of the things about being a lesbian is I get both sides of it. Most of the girls I've been with, even the more butch ones, enjoyed receiving flowers and most have given them too. I'm 27 now. Been dating girls since I was 20 and I think the first time I received flowers from a romantic interest, I was 18 and it was a guy. I was 21 the first time I received flowers from a girl.

nope, I'm 20, honestly it'd be nice but I'd be much happier to have my bf bring me food at work or something, flowers are so expensive and they just seem like a waste... they're only gonna die....

I'm 19 and have both given and received flowers - I appreciate it when people give me live rather than cut flowers, or local flowers rather than ones from a shop that have been shipped from another state or country, because really chemically processed flowers make me a bit sad. They have so little scent and aren't as pretty, not to mention the crappy working conditions in the factories where they're packed and shipped.
In short, I love flowers in a very hippie way. I like them local and living, and find them very sweet and romantic when they have those qualities.
