How did you meet your guy?

Ironically, I was on a arranged date with hubby's younger brother. His brother was too shy to show up and sent hubby to check me out. Hubby apparently liked what he saw, said the hell with his lil brother and took over the date. His brother ended up married to another one of my friends and we currently live next door too each other.

My first impression was that he had gorgeous eyes but he had a reputation as a bad boy with a lot of experience which put him completely outta my league. I had no true experience. He even told me I was the one he was going to marry which was weird on a hijacked date. He also smoked and I really didn't like that.

Does it reveal anything about our current relationship...not really sure. We pretty much have stood together against all odds since we've been a couple. He holds fast and tight to what he wants and protects for life. First time he kissed me I choked on the taste of smokers breath blah and told him if he ever wanted to kiss me again he'd have to stop - boy went cold turkey - never smoked since. And I still think he has gorgeous eyes but he's taught me what I needed to know in the experience department. Now my sex drive has really picked up and honestly I think I've surpassed him. He's convinced I'm going to screw him to death lol

We have a good relationship so I guess our first impressions were bonding. I love him so much.

We met in a bar and we totally hit it off after the few times we met following our initial introduction.

I had just dumped a total loser (he was a pedophile and everything, yikes.) And I was working at a kiosk in the mall. Next to me, was a Vonage kiosk and this guy named Mike was there. He and I would entertain each other cause it was SO boring somedays and after getting to know me some, he told me that his best friend and I sounded a lot alike, and he thought we'd go great together. Twenty minutes later, he threw me on the phone with him and we were both incredibly shy. It was awkward. I thought he sounded so cute. So, we exchanged AIM's and we talked online for a bit and he agreed to meet us at the mall. I skipped class (teehee) to meet up with them at the mall. He called me on my phone to see if I was there and then he was like "I see you" and we found each other and exchanged hellos. First thing I noticed was he had really pretty soft blue eyes and he was shy. But when he laughed, he also had a really gorgeous smile. He spent some time kind of avoiding being near me, and it felt like the date had gone really bad... cause he just wouldn't come near me at all. A day later, he and I just had a really long conversation on AIM... and he was like.. "By the way, I found this picture I really liked of you on MySpace, I photoshopped a background on it" I downloaded the file and it was a picture of mine with a rose background and it said "Everything has beauty but not everyone can see it. If I promise to see it, will you be mine?"

I awwwed and closed out of it. Twenty minutes later he's like... "So, what's the answer to my question?" I was so confused. I didn't know it was a literal question, I just thought it was... a sweet sentiment. I scrolled through hours of conversation, and then his friend was like "Didja say yes?" I was like "OMG to what?"

My boyfriend told me to re-click the picture, and I was like "Ohhhh, it's a question! YES, of course. "

We met online.

I met my guy in high school.

We were in a class together that he almost never showed up for. We didn't talk much except on the odd days he did show up and only then because we often got paired together for projects. I got a call from him at home one day out of nowhere, which I was both surprised and creeped out by because I'd never given him my number. He said he'd looked it up (somehow). We ended up hanging out a few times and at the end of the year he took me to our school carnival. It was a lot of fun and we started "officially" dating that night. Almost 6 years later and we are still very happy

I'm not sure what it says about our relationship, but I don't think it's changed much from then and now.

My sisters fiance used to attend football games with my boyfriend. They were great friends, so my sister and her fiance introduced us at our local coffee shop one night. They had no idea we'd be so great for each other =)

Well, I had just moved up here from my old school about two years ago and I started going to the local school here. I first saw Synthetik from behind, actually, and the first things I noticed about him was his Tripp pants and the Pentacle tattoo on the back of his neck.

As a Wiccan who had just emerged from her own personal broom closet (I was not allowed to practice my religion at the last place I lived) I got excited. "Holy crap! Another Pagan/Wiccan!". I wanted to go talk to him, but I was shy and didn't know if he'd be nice, so I didn't.

A week or so later, we had a Homecoming Pep rally and before we went to it, they herded all us Seniors into the Auditorium because they wanted to talk to us about something and wanted us to take a big group picture. I had "wounded zebra syndrome", meaning that I pretty much found a friend I knew and stuck with them. It was a little hyper guy who was nicknamed "Satan" for some unknown reason, lol. But anyway, when we went into the auditorium, no one was in there except Synthetik, who was sitting down already.

"Satan" introduced us (gosh that sounds so weird, lmao) and we talked a little. When we had to get up on stage to take that picture, Synthetik started rolling himself up in the curtains and just being funny, and got reprimanded by a teacher, lol. That's when I noticed that he was the same person with the Pentacle tattoo. I asked him about it and told him that I was newly out of the broom closet about my faith.

The pep rally was boring, except for him of course, he asked me if I was going to the Football game after school, and after thinking about it (I don't really like football, though I tolerate it for Marching Band, lol) I decided to go, and found him. We talked about all kinds of stuff, and I got into how, at the time, I had a boyfriend from back where I was living, but he hadn't talked to me at all in two weeks, he'd read my emails but never reply. And how I had been seriously debating on breaking it off (I believe that a relationship is not over unless at least one person says outright it is. In most cases, anyway). He told me that I should and that I didn't deserve to be treated like that. I then asked if he had anyone in his life and, unfortunately, he did. I didn't know why at the time, but when I saw him kiss his then-girlfriend, it kind of made me hurt a little. But, I'm the type that I don't chase after taken men, so I tried to keep him out of my mind.

Well, a bit later, I find a comment on one of my Myspace pictures from Synthetik and it said "Theres so much I could put here, But alas I must hold my tongue". I figured that was either really good, or really bad, so I sent him an email asking what he meant by that. To which, he wrote, "Lol in case you cant tell I am attracted to you. But we are both taken." So he and I got on the IM and started talking about it.

One thing I did ask him though, just so that you all don't question my character, lol, I did ask him not to leave his girlfriend for me. I didn't want to be known as "That girl" who wrecks relationships and all, if they broke up due to "natural causes" then that'd be one thing, but I didn't want to be the cause of it. He assured me that he had been contemplating breaking it off with her for a while, so I was relieved, lol. I, of course, ended my relationship with the previous guy, and thus we were both open to be together. (Lol, I remember I was so scared to hold his hand while going down the hallways, because at my old school you couldn't even hold hands or anything, you'd get in trouble).

For a bit, though, I was worried that I'd scare him away, so after alot of prodding from him to get me to let him in on what I thought would scare him off, I told him that I was a submissive and into BDSM. Lucky for me, that didn't make him run in terror, he actually thought it was awesome and was actually into it as well So it all worked out.

He and I will be together for two years coming up on November 14

Met in an online game, Aliens vs Predator 2. The company who had the master servers shut them down after being bought out, but we met there and started talking afterward on Xfire and MSN. It was funny how we met because we kept killing each other on accident and jokingly said the other was stalking to get kills. The next time we played together we didn't know we had each switched our screen names and when we realized who the other person was it was a very O_O moment.

A few weeks after talking he admitted he liked me and I went with it. It's now been over 3 years and still going, despite the long distance between us.

Well, my current partner and I met sometime near the beginning of my sophomore year of college, when I found out he had bed risers he wasn't using and I went upstairs to introduce myself and ask if I could borrow them

We were really good friends for almost a year, and over the summer he came to visit me a lot at work. One day, he asked if I'd like to grab dinner with him that friday, and he would pay. I didn't want to read into it too much, so I said sure, and tried not to act too excited. He called me back about ten minutes later to let me know that he intended it to be a date and he wasn't sure if I realized that. I was so excited, I tried to text my other friend but accidentally sent it to him! He felt relieved to know I was as excited as he was ^^

I actually met my husband online back before it was a popular thing to do and back when Yahoo! had free personals. Turns out though that we knew a lot of the same people and had just barely not crossed paths before then. It was like we were meant to meet but the fates were waiting until just the right time. It wasn't love at first site though, he was a "nice guy" at the time I was into dating "bad boys" so it took me a while to come around and see him for the awesomeness that he is. We were actually just friends for about a year before we started actually dating.

My last two boyfriends were friends of my brothers. My ex husband lived across the street.
