Is it cheating if it's with the same gender?

This kind of attitude of "It's only cheating if..." perpetuates the "only straight sex is real sex" mentality. It eliminates the validity of non-straight sex and relationships, with the cool addition of trying to find a relationship loophole in order to cheat. It shouldn't even be a question -- if you are in a monogamous relationship and you are having sexual or romantic relationships with ANYONE other than your partner without their expressed knowledge and approval, it is cheating.

In short... yes, cheating is cheating.
Edit: Sorry original poster; I did not mean to make this sound like it was directed at you. It's just a touchy subject for me.

It obviously depends on your relationship with your partner. However, if it's monogamous, I'd be kind of offended if my SO didn't count me doing sexual activities with someone of the same gender to be cheating. I lost my virginity to a woman. It's almost like saying that same-sex sex isn't "real sex." But of course, it depends on your relationship with your partner and the "rules" you agreed upon.

"a kiss between a man and a man or a woman and a woman should be worth no less then a kiss between a woman and a man."

LOVED this line!

I believe it was well said on another post similar to this one... "If you have to ask, then yes, its cheating"

It's cheating. Especially for a lesbian couple. But it's all cheating if you're in a closed monogamous relationship.

How are these things still questions?? If its something you haven't discussed as being ok to do with your partner(s), it's cheating.

Gender really doesn't apply; it's cheating.

Unless both agreed/didn't mind it, then its still cheating whether or not they kissed someone of the same or opposite gender.

If it is not part of your agreement with your partner, then yes it is cheating. The idea that girls kissing girls isn't cheating is part of the "girls don't count" bullshit that heteronormative homophobic assholes like to reinforce. Girls *do* count (and likewise, men do count), and if it is not part of your agreement with your partner then it is cheating.
