Just be careful of the "honeymoon" effect. You may not get enough of each other right now, but as you become accustomed to each other's body chemistry, it will slow down a lot.

And just because you have marriage on your mind doesn't mean she does as well. Be aware of her life plan and be sure to talk with her about serious issues, not just casual conversations. If that matches up, it just may work out by 8 months. less

My grandparents met and got married in two weeks and they were married for 50+ years.

My dad and stepmom met and got married in 2 months and they've been married for (almost) 26 years.

Mr and I met and got married exactly a year later.

Who's to say that you should/shouldn't get married? Who's to say that it's too soon? If it feels right, it feels right. less

The main thing isn't time, it's that you're good at communicating and working out problems when they come up. If you've spent some time living together, it'd probably be fine. You can do it at 2 weeks and have it work out great, I just end to be on the safe side. less

I know exactly how you feel. That is what my girlfriend and I believe. However, my grandmother gave me some very good advice....when you are ready to propose wait 2 months. If after those months you are still thinking about it, wait another 2 months. And if you think you are ready then, ask her. Your heart knows faster than your head, but your head must catch up to your heart for a marriage to last. Best of luck! less

Ok so me and my GF have been dating for 3 months, and it is absolutely wonderful. An amazing sex life (have not had a good one in past relationships), open about everything, we don't wanna change a thing about each other. She wants to spoil me all the time, we don't really get tired of being around each other, and any dispute we have we just talk thru it and everything is fine again.
Seriously out of all my exs she surpasses all of them, and is everything i have ever asked for in a partner and friend.We also feel like we have known each other for ages.
I am wondering, because I am her first in bed and being this close to and how long we have been dating, if it is to soon to be thinking about popping the question to her...I plan on doing it around our 8 months..I am just worried if I am rushing things. less

well it is your decision as to if you want to, or if you think you should wait. i can surely tell you though that i have no doubt she will say no. its always good to have someone around who is like a best friend. if she treats you right thats even better...she may feel she treats you like crap..and she is sorry for that and her emotional break downs time and time, but you, staying by her side truely shows how much you do care. She never had someone like that in her life before...believe me i would know. you are her everything. her thunder, muse, strengths, etc. you're the best thing to ever happen to her. she loves you....i love you. less
