If he likes anal toys, then "pegging" is just one more anal toy. If you get one that has an "insert" for you at the same time, it is WAY more fun. Something like the Feldoe, for instance.

No, we do not switch roles. He doesn't really have a submissive bone in his whole body and I'm the world's worst Dominatrix given that I'm naturally submissive so even the idea of switching doesn't feel right or good to either of us.

Okay...I'm tired this morning....so forgive the nutty humor....but YES, we switch rolls. Whenever the thing runs down to the little cardboard tube!!!!

Interestingly we discussed this last evening. NO...we don't switch rolls. WE DO use strap on with me pegging him...but HE is still the "guy" and am still the "girl" and it is simply a way that HE derives pleasure in an erogenous zone, and a way I can pleasure him (while enjoying myself...both playing with him manually (we peg in the missionary position, so I CAN reach him with my hands) and I always have some kind of toy in me..one or both holes, so I am enjoying the motion too.

This is such a good point. Pegging does not necessarily have to be a genderplay thing. Inherent in this question is the assumption that the roles of "penetrator" and "receiver" are gender-related and they really don't have to be. My guess is that a lot of couples enjoying pegging without any gender-role swapping at all. Because the prostate gland is a beautiful thing.

Also some responders have linked submissive/dominant roles to the receiver/penetrator roles. I don't think that they have to be, either.

All of these roles are flexible, and are up to each couple to define for themselves.
