It depends. If oral accounts for the major part of your sex life, and you use it to achieve orgasm, then it's sex. If you just do a bit of oral before moving onto intercourse, then it's foreplay.

Sex, but part of sex is foreplay. So it is both. The definition of sex is sexual activity including specifically intercourse. I think oral falls in that category especially when it is foreplay.

It usually depends on the situation. Sometimes it's the only type of sex we have, sometimes it's just foreplay to penetrative sex. So it's both, but usually for us just foreplay.

For me, it's *technically* foreplay - but it's a sexual act in and of itself that can be begin or come to fruition at any time during sexy times. It's not actually sex, but it's not making out either. It is, in fact, a good time had by all when doing the nasty.

Since oral is the only way I can give my wife an orgasm, I would consider it as part of the main course. Likewise, my wife usually doesn't give oral without finishing - when she gives oral, that is.
