My girl and I have been together for four years on the 29th of this month. We never go and do anything except maybe eat on our anniversary because it's inbetween two holidays. I want to do something special this year 'cause we've had a big move, and it required her to have a career change. I want to show her how much I appreciate everything she does for me.

So what I'm asking is what another woman would like to do/get to really show you how much someone appreciates you.

I'd say get her something elegant, like some pretty earrings (they don't have to be expensive to look nice! ), take her out to a semi-fancy restaurant, and maybe to a fun movie. Take her somewhere you haven't been before/in a while and make it a new experience. Just doing something you don't usually do will make it seem different and more romantic!
