When you've been together for awhile, sometimes the lustful dates diminish. Last night, we went on a great date wondering around Miami Beach. How many long term relationships still go out on dates? And how often?

We have date night at least once a month if not twice.

We don't have a set time or day. It just happens. Money is tight, but we used to go out to dinner all the time.
Last Saturday, we went to our favorite Italian restaurant. One of the kids (the middle one, who's in college) came with us. She was making jokes, "Sorry to ruin you date! Hahahahahaha!" It wasn't ruined. We love our kids. Our little one wasn't feeling well, so she didn't go, and the older one wasn't there, either.
We spend a lot of time together, usually every evening. Also, Sunday morning is when we watch Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood. (Our kids laugh at us, because it's and "old people's show." They aren't even awake then.) It's a date for us. Sex the night before, sex that morning, then Pop Tarts or cookies in bed and Sunday Morning.

i wish we did more. we both have sort of restricted diets so it's hard to go out to eat. but when there are restaurants around that we can eat out, for example when we travel, we go out together.
