We say it alllll the time. Every time either of us leaves we get/give a kiss and say I love you. Then we say it randomly throughout the day

My mom is one of those people who insists the last words you say to someone before parting (even if they're just running out to the shop) be something positive, just in case it's the last words you ever say to them. I don't have her sense of imminent doom, but I did pick up the habit. So I love you gets said a lot.

My boyfriend and I say it to each other all the time but we also show it in our actions. I can't imagine being in a relationship where we don't show our love through actions AND words.
