It depends...liek if my dog is just in the room no biggie but if she is staring at us or wants petted then it is weird. My husband in more bothered by it than I am...I just tend to ignore it.

Sometimes. It used to bother me, but I had to learn to adapt. They are better if they are in the room, than outside the door crying.

We've got down to it with other people in the room so our cats would hardly be a problem!

It definitely bothers my SO, he feels uncomfortable and like she's looking at him or something but I'm not really bothered. Dogs have sex too and the embarrassment he feels is more a human mindset in my opinion

I used this in my argument for not getting a dog. "What if we want to have sex on the couch or the floor and he just starts sticking his face in?" etc.

I just close the room off to any pets, thankfully my partner doesn't have any so there's so dog whining at the door to get in lol
I don't like my cats even watching me play, they are like my children and I don't like to expose them to that- crazy cat lady

I love my dogs like they are children. Just like children, I do not want them in the room when I am having sex.

I would suggest some behavioral conditioning for your dog. Start getting him used to being locked out of the room for short periods. When you put him out of the room give him a treat. Build up the time you lock him out till he can be quiet all the time. Of course do this when you are not planning on having sex. You also need to be consistent during training and do it everyday, several times a day until he gets it. Dogs will do what gets them a reward, if he gets a treat when he gets locked out and another if he is quiet while he is locked out, he will do that. Also it should be a really good treat that he does not normally get.

It bothers me. First of all, she's not really allowed in our room. She has a tendency to tear up pillows and blankets (shred them) when we're not home. So we don't invite her up there. If she does come into our room, she's immediately kicked out.

I have a big yellow lab who is not allowed on the bed. She does sleep on my bedroom floor though. I usually don't notice she is there because she is usually sleeping no matter what time of the day it is. It only bothrs me when she is having a bad dream and starts wimpering; at that point I have to go and let her out of the bedroom.

It's just funny. My cat gives us this look like the look an embarrassed teen would make if his mom was smothering him around his friends lol like

We used to have a dog who couldn't STAND not being the center of attention at all times. If she was in the room with us, she'd climb onto the bed. If we locked her outside the bedroom, she'd bark, howl and scratch at the door. I finally trained her not to climb on the bed with a couple of carefully-placed mousetraps! After that, she was content to curl up on her rug at the foot of the bed.
