I'm hoping we will split chores if we can ever live together. I know I wanna do the typical housewifey stuff (laundry, most cooking, dishes). I'm hoping he'll still mow and do other chores that make you sweat
No. He works, I stay home. All he has to do is take the trash to the compactor in the morning and sometimes he'll help clear off condiments and whatnot from the dinner table, but it's mostly me. And I like it that way!
Sort of. We don't say, "OK, you are doing the laundry this week and I will mop the floors." When stuff needs doing we just start and the other will pitch in. He loves to cook (I prefer to clean up his mess, rather than cook). I really love yard work, especially mowing (push mowing). It gives me a chance to zone out and reflect on life. My husband gets mad at me sometimes, "Woman, we have a tractor for that what the hell are you doing?" I like to do it my way sometimes when time is not of the essence.
I do most of the chores, but its because I'm retired. I do the ones that I feel like doing each day. Wife will do things when she gets home, but that is only because she can't relax and do nothing. I don't seem to have that problem.
