Would you be jealous if your bf was getting IPL pubic hair removal by female cosmeticians?

Contributor: Howells Howells
I'm thinking of getting my pubes done by 12 IPL treatments but that's going to span over a year. By that time I'll want to have an LTR and I have no idea how a future girl will react that I'm showing my pubic area to other girls every 5-6 weeks. The cosmeticians are girls between 25-30. Thanks for you answers.

I clicked other as you didn't leave an option for the sexually non-monogamous of us.

I wouldn't be jealous, partly because it's no different to seeing any other professional, but more because well, as long as I know, I don't do jealous even if it IS sex or similar.

If I flip you question and my gf did this and the cosmetician was a male I would not get jealous. There are certain professions that require someone seeing genitalia so as long as there is no hidden significance underneath there should be no problem to having such a procedure done by someone of the opposite sex.

Believe me when I say that aestheticians have no interest in checking out your junk or flirting with you. They see naked people all day long. It is no big deal to them. They just want to do their jobs. No reason for anyone to get jealous about it.

I think as long as you're open and honest about it, there wouldn't be any issues about it. If you were to sneak around, not tell anyone or lie about going, then there would be some serious jealousy issues. It's all about in the way you handle it. If you act like it's something she should be jealous of, she's going to be jealous about it. If you act like you don't care when she does get a little bit jealous, she's going to be more jealous. You just have to be logical, be rational and be smart - calms most unwarranted jealousy monsters right in their tracks.

Not that he would ever do that, but I wouldn't really care. I know he'd be so uncomfortable with a guy doing it anyway.

Just ask your girlfriend if she'd be jealous. It's really her opinion that matters, not ours. But to answer your question, I would not be jealous.

It's their job, you're paying them for that service.

As long as you two aren't flirting I wouldn't give a hoot. It's like a doctor, they are trained professionals and see so many naked people a day it no longer phases them.

I've been trying to talk him into getting it done. I plan on getting mine done soon.

It's a procedure, nothing sexual about it, so no.

Jealous, no. Uncomfortable, yes. I don't know if I'm correct, but because I heard the guy has to have an erection to get the testicles and the hairs on the shaft near the base, and well, I don't want a woman's hands there unless it's his doctor (if his was female) doing an exam.

I wouldn't be pleased about it, and would probably feel a little bit of jealousy. I don't want anyone seeing my man other than me.

Obviously not everyone is the way I am, so you should be good though!

If he doesn't get jealous when some beautiful Spanish guy massages my thighs during as massage session, I see no reason why I should get jealous of a woman removing his pubic hair. Not that I have to worry about it as he shaves himself and has no desire to have anybody else do removal.

Id probably happy you lacked pubes, rather than upset about who is making them be gone.

I'm sorry, but I cannot for the life of me understand how anyone could be so insecure to be jealous of someone getting a cosmetic procedure by someone who was professionally trained and licensed to perform said procedure. In that case, there should not be male gynecologists or obstetricians because of having to look inside "some other man's property" all day.

I wouldn't be jealous...but then again, I'm in a relationship where we're very open and secure in what we choose to do. In fact, I keep encouraging him to have a little "man-scaping" done!

It's professional and should be no cause for jealousy. Lots of girls get Brazilian waxing or laser or some other pubic hair removal. As a lesbian, I really don't see the gender of the technicians making one shred of difference. Whether it was a guy or a girl doing your treatments or a guy or a girl doing hers shouldn't change a thing.

Not at all. It could be a good barometer for you to see if you're dating an incredibly insecure woman with issues of possessiveness, though; if she has a problem with you getting a cosmetic procedure done by professionals (they're not there to satisfy anyone's sexual urges, for crying out loud), simply because it involves your nether regions, then take my advice--don't date that woman. There are mature, reasonable, self-assured women in this world who won't view your body as though they have ownership over it (unless you're into that kind of thing, but still, that's different). Let them enjoy your hairless manhood while the others sit at home and agonize over the fact that they're not the first human to see your penis.

They are professionals and it would be doubtful that they would act inappropriately regardless. It would be silly to be jealous over this.
