How many of you have been in long distance relationships that have lasted/solidified where you never realistically thought/knew it would work out? I've lived apart from a partner (3500+miles) for 2-3 years and I'm happy to say we are engaged now and soon to be living together!

Thank you for giving me hope. My Master is 4,000 miles away and had a load of problems fall on him over the past month, so he's not sure we can have a future together.
