Has any one had to explain their choices to family or had one person totally against it but not for them orality to them but because of a race issue . If so feel free to share your story or how you delt with the issues.


My folks are all for it if im happy but we have one friend who claimes to be a friend but is totally utterly against b ecause of race which i find disgustingly sad that at this day and age race is such a long played card

My mother insisted she could 'handle' this relationship I had but given the fact that she disowned me for my religious choices and was trying to guilt me into being an unpaid caretaker for my grandparents so she didn't have to quit her job...I had my doubts! The things she told the family convinced me it was a losing battle and I chose to walk away.

I guess I've been lucky that I have a family which accept my choices although they are, by and large, quite different from their own.
