And I wondered what you guys think? Not sure I want to try and make it a poll, was really just hoping to see what more people out there feel about this?
Kind of makes rational sense... how cool would it be if you had 3 parents (or more, I guess) to help with all of life's challenges? Maybe one parent could stay at home and save loads on child care. All of you parents out there, can you identify with the lure of having 2 incomes and a stay at home mom/dad TOO? With the economic pressure, I could see this becoming almost mainstream, especially if some/all of the parents were bi and all in love together. Or if there's one guy with a super high sex drive and two women who don't really want to do it EVERY day.
More people equals more variables though... hmmmm.

Actually, studies have shown that children from poly households tend to be more well adjusted and successful.

Personally, I think it is just better for me personally. I am way happy now with two partners then I ever was monogamous.

This is exactly the relationship in or household.I have two partners with whom I have children. They work outside the home allowing me to be a stay at home Mom. I homeschool our kids (for secular reasons) and we all have a hand in raising the kids.

Our kids are social, well educated, secure and very, very stable. Our son is a typical loud and bossy three year old and our teenage girls are not out trying drugs or drinking...and yes I DO know that for a fact.

I support legalizing plural marriage but let's get off the whole two men cannot co-exist peacefully crap and make it across the board. I have never been able to share my home, successfully, with another woman but the guys have no problem with it. To me it makes more sense to have more than 2 people involved in the raising of kids, and really, there are many ways to be sure which child belongs to whom.

Now to be fair we all have super high sex drives and we aren't in a closed triad but we are a V formation. Either way it works for us...

Well the studies tend to show that poly reared children so no more neurosis or adaptive disabilities than the rest of their peers. The tend to be more stable but only if their home life reflects a commitment to stability.

The bottom line? Children are resilient and can thrive in any loving environment.
