I'm New and Curious, any advice?

I've never participated in a polyamorous relationship, but I am very curious.

How does one dip their toes in the community, so to speak?

(I am currently single, if that changes anything)

I'd love advice on how I can experiment and see if this is the right lifestyle for me

Since you are single you have a sort of leg up. Read everything you can about the lovestyle. Get yourself right so that you are as healthy as you can be emotionally, physically and mentally. Just because you are curious and single doesn't mean you are immune to jealousy. Understand that if you enter an established relationship that the couple are not looking to break up no matter how much they argue fuss and fight. being open or in an open relationship doesn't mean they are not interested in each other or in staying together, it means they are open to the possibilities life has to offer.

If I were you I would always make sure that you are upfront with potential partners about wanting an open relationship. Usually if a person is upfront then the relationship will at least start, healthy!
Most singletons find looking for a couple is easier but it's not always the best idea since couples bring baggage.

Look for polyamory groups in your area, lots of them have meet and greets...they tend to be less about sex and more about getting to know people interested in long term relationships.

Most of all I'd read everything I could about Polyamory and open relationships, and then read some more!
