That's the common perception but really it isn't a linear step to go from swinging to poly for most people. Being poly requires a deeper commitment from the friendship/just sex approach of true swinging. It can also be a side step for poly folk to swing as well! They really are two separate entities for most folk!

There are a lot of things in every relationship that is the same, no matter what kind it is. I do not mind talking openly with anyone who wants to ask me anything. My husband and I are in a swinging/open relationship. We tell eachother everything no matter what. We always know if the other has plans with someone or if we may have plans to play with someone else together or apart. Open with eachother no matter what is the key to how happy we both are with our life and how much we love eachother. Ask away and I will try to help if not I will see if I can find it out for you.
