Hiya,

I just started reading Carol Queen's excellent book "Exhibitionism for the Shy," and I've got to say it's got me thinking more about sensual fashion & the fun involved in showing off for a partner. I'm really just starting to approach this subject in a more conscious way, though I know I've had exhibitionistic tendencies my whole life (I am a natural performer, etc.).

Last weekend I got my makeup professionally done by one of the artists at Mac, and I thought it was so fun and interesting to play around with this new persona especially when my lover came by later that night. I had a real film noir look going on with dark dark eyes and red red lips. Also had a hot little dress to go with it... It was really freeing in a way to dress like that. It's not what I normally look like, and it was like putting on a mask or playing dress up. I felt like April Flores, my favourite porn starlet. I was free to be this different character and be more bold with my partner, telling him what I like and such... It was quite empowering and he loved it. It's gotten me interested in learning to do glam makeup for myself...

I'm curious if anyone else has had experience in this area, or is curious to try? I feel like I'm entering into this new sensual world...

My first thought was 'are you kidding' - but actually we do this a little. My girl will get all spanking clean, shaven and perfumed with her favorite skin cream - then add a little lingerie to top it off. Me - I'll get 'pumped up' lifting weights because she likes the look - so yes in small ways we try to please one another by going the extra mile.

Oh, hell yeah. I'm one to "adjust" my boobs for their best advantage when I see his truck in the driveway, to put on make up (if I haven't already) right before he is expected home, brush my teeth, do my hair. If the kids aren't around I may "forget" to wear panties and let him find out. I know he wants me, but I want him to really want me.

He knows if I don't look primped when he comes home, I am probably not feeling well. I like to take care of him, and part of that is my looking my best when it is possible.

Definitely. I love showing off for my boyfriend. Although we've never acted on it, one of our favourite fantasies to play with is me being shown off to lots of random admiring guys. So yeah, we for sure relate to exhibitionist tendencies even if we've never gone through with it in real life.

Except for that one time when he locked me out of the house naked, haha. But that was different

I do the same things right before my husband is due to arrive home. I like to take care of him just as much as he enjoys taking care of me.

There is nothing better than letting them discover the lingerie under your clothes or the lack of underclothes all together!

Every single time I see my partner I make 100% certain I'm looking my best. I feel like he deserves seeing me all primped and pretty, and I love him oogling the heck out of me
