I have wondered this for a long time.
To me a fantasy is an activity in sexual nature you desire, but do not experience.
I have seen many, MANY people post topics about what their favorite fantasies are, or what fantasy they would desire most to come true.
I haven't really seen it told often where those fantasies come from....
Are they works of inner imagination and creativity?
Suggestions from past/current lovers?
Something that has been seen on a porn video or clip?
Or just something ordinary that is shown openly through normal TV shows or movies....( like a romantic tryst on a beach or an elevator.)?
For me, I have had several fantasies become kinks or just past experiences.
For me tho, I can say almost every single fantasy I have wished fulfilled, or have had fulfilled has come from my uniquely creative imagination. The rest have stemmed from porn.
