Not sure which heading to put this in, but would YOU pay to get a SOLID GOLD sex toy (if you could afford it)?

I just saw a private jet with a SOLID GOLD SINK and TOILET. (REALLY? WHY???? I guess just because they have NOTHING better to do with their cash). Anyway, got me thinking. Would you, if you had TONS of money, think it would be "sexy" to have some solid gold toys? What about some GOLD PLATED toys...which I am not sure I have seen before? Perhaps a REAL JEWEL bedecked vibrator??? Just asking. Would that be a "dream toy" of luxury or a waste?

Definitely not gold-plated, that stuff rubs off too easily. Solid gold I would prefer to be saved for jewelry, I wouldn't want a toy made out of it. And getting a solid gold sink and toilet just sounds like a crime to me... do you know how much jewelry you could make out of that?

I think that even if I had that kind of money, I could think of better things to spend it on.

There's a jewellery store in Hong Kong with a gold bathroom (every single item is made with gold). Honestly, I don't think any hardware can be made with real solid gold (24 kt), because it is too soft to keep its shape (unless no one touches it). In the U.S., anything that has a 10kt gold content is allowed to be called solid gold. 10kt isn't really that much gold at all, it only consists of 41.7% gold, the rest are a bunch of other alloys. So, if some guy has money, it's not that hard for him to get a solid gold (10 kt?) sink and toilet.

Even if I have the money, I don't want any solid gold toys, it'll probably be too heavy to play with. I don't want gold plated toys neither, cuz the plating might come off after lots of playtime, since our vagina fluids are slightly acidic.

Again, even if I have the money, I still prefer my toys in medical-grade stainless steel rather than gold (anything less than 24kt), because I have gold allergy. I've had my ears pierced when I was 11 years old, I can only wear 24kt gold earrings. If I wear earrings with a lesser gold content, my ear holes will get bad infections, they'll turn red, rashy, and very itchy. The reason being my ears are allergic to the rest of the alloys the earrings were made of besides the gold.

I agree. I also think gold is ugly. Maybe if it were made out of a solid slab of emerald or something.

No I wouldn't waste that kind of money on a solid gold toy cause I can get a great toy that does the same job that actually looks nice!

I'm with Elnoa - I'm not a fan of gold ... or at least not yellow gold.
I love the look of the white, but was turned off when I learnt white gold actually requires replating (even though it's not cheap gold plated as we know it) every so often. Not impressed over that.
Rose gold is ok, but I much prefer sterling silver!

Someone mentioned - definitely not pure gold, as it would bend and rub off too easily. But I think if I could afford it, I would. Not something to use necessarily, but as a piece of art since I am an artist.
