"Fitness Poles" etc... I've really wanted to get one for a while!
Have you ever had one at home? If so, how did it work out?

Nope, but went to buy one a few years back and changed my mind due to bad customer service. I have been planning to get one for a long time though. I was a gymnast for years & loved the rope. I could do some pretty crazy stunts on the rope and would love a pole! It'd take practice now though, it's been years since I've been on the rope. I just hate how expensive the poles are!

Okay, so I bought one of these "fitness poles"... LOL on the name. I actually bought it because I'm trying to find new ways to get a work out other than jogging. Absolutely getting bored of that.

Anyway, they are a giant pain in the ass to install. They cost way more than they are worth - don't let the 3 easy payments fool you. It took us three days to install mine because we had to go out and buy MORE parts to securely fasten the pole to the ceiling so that I didn't die...

After all that work... we realized there was a standing pole in the basement I could have been using the whole time. But since I wanted to use the new pole so badly, I did... and it collapsed. At the time I was only weighing in at 125. Not enough to bust down a pole (if it had any quality). Sprained my ankle and had a nasty bruise on my cheek for two weeks. NEVER doing that again.

My pole cashed in at around 450 after the whole 3 easy payments were done. I wish I remembered the brand name so I could tell you not to get it. It was the one on TV with the pink logo... if that helps lol. But the company was horrible. Wouldn't give a refund. I tried everything to get one, too. They said nothing was wrong with the pole but that I simply didn't install it right. My argument is that the full pole package didn't come with enough parts to install it right! Oh well, moved on to bigger better things like boxing! Try that instead. Just bought a really cute heavy bag on sale at Wal-Mart for only $79 bucks. It's Everlast... PINK! and comes with gloves and hand wraps!

Oh, what a nightmare. I'm sorry. WTH kind of company was that?!

So, I'm guessing if one that expensive collapsed, those ridiculous $20 ones aren't gonna do the trick. Lol. Yes, I've actually seen one for that price. Can't remember where.

I would have been so pissed. Where do they get off charging that.

Also, I've wanted a bag for a while. I would love on in pink!!

That's so cool. I always wanted to take gymnastics. I'm very flexible & can front flip, but that's about it. I'd probably kill myself on a pole.

I want one soooo bad, though.

Have you seen the really cheap ones? Though, if the expensive ones can collapse, I can't even imagine the severe accident waiting to happen those are.

I'm wondering why they even make the cheap ones.

That's me (not really clumsy, but so accident prone & fragile). I'd be all bruised & pulled in the beginning getting used to it, but it'd be worth it.

I saw a topic that was started a while back on here about how cool it would be if EF carried the Electra poll. Indeed!
