It depends on the woman, as some people look much better with short or long hair, but in general I prefer short hair for myself and for other women. It tends to look more flirty.

I like whatever looks good on someone. I can appreciate the beauty in some long hair, but I also see some stringy messes you look at & think, "Yuck, they'd look so much better if they just chopped that off!" Some women look just perfect with short hair & others might need more length to enhance their looks.
In general, it's the grooming that appeals to me more than the length. Clean, healthy hair is beautiful & you want to touch it, but even shaved or bald looks so sexy on some women! It's all how you work it!

I really really hate "mommy cuts" really short hair "because it's easy to take care of.) There is a particular commercial with an attractive woman with the most hideous hair. Her haircut looks like something you'd give a 5 year old boy. I'm sure it's "easy to take care of" but, damn, it looks awful on her.
Some, very few women look good with really short hair. One has to have the right face for it. Remember Alice on Eden? She looked great with short hair, but she had the face and the perky personality for it. Some women can pull off short hair, most can't, as far as I can see.
I have fairly long hair. My mother gives me grief. "You're too old to have hair that long." (She started saying when I was around 24.) My mother has always had short "mommy cut" hair, and even as a kid, I (and my father) wished she would grow it out. She had long hair when she was younger (before I was born, she cut it for her first date with my father and he was sadly stunned) and she looked SO much better. She thought it was "too much work." I don't know. I'm the kind of woman who takes pride in my appearance, and if it takes a little longer to do my hair, but I look better, so what?
