Coming To Bed Early

My man has a problem coming to bed at a decent time and even more so on the weekends. He has a tough week at work and I don't mind him doing what he does when he comes home just wish I didn't go to bed alone over the weekends. Through the week he comes to bed at a decent hour but usually has to get to sleep soon.

I have asked him to come to bed early, I have told him to come to bed and I have even said please. This weekend we were on a mini vacation with some family and it was around 11:30 and I asked him to come to bed but he wasn't ready. I know we weren't going to have sex because family was there and because I was on my period but it would have been nice to have just one hour to cuddle in that big bed.

How do I get him to come to bed early without sounding like his mother? I

I think that you should sit down and have a conversation about it. Don't make any accusations, but statements that start with "I" such as "I would really appreciate you coming to bed earlier so we could have more relaxing, alone time"

We have a similar problem only its backwards. Hub needs to wake up early so go to bed early. I stay up for a while. Theres times where I go to bed wit him just so we can relax together, then I go back to what I was doin. Its hard to fall asleep when im not ready.

I admit I have a problem with this. If I know we are not having sex that night, I very often fall asleep on the couch watching a game on TV or just because I'm relaxed. It's not directly because we are not having sex. Sometimes it's because she is going to sleep very early. She is a light sleeper, and I don't like to disturb her while I try to get comfortable. Most of the time I wake up on the couch around 2:30 and go to the bedroom.

If we do go to bed at the same time, usually I'm not tired and lay in bed wishing we could have sex. On the occasions we do have sex, she is usually the one that wants a quick cuddle and then quickly to sleep. Round two is never considered.

She mentions me not coming to bed often, and I do see where she is coming from. I will probably try to improve in this department.

Perhaps you can ask him to do what Duff does. You can say, "I know you're not sleepy right now, but would you mind holding me for a while, or until I fall asleep? I'd really like to snuggle. Once I'm asleep, you're more than welcome to finish what you're doing."

You could even let him know that you don't need that every night, just a couple of times a week. That way he knows you're just wanting time with him, not telling him to go to bed.
