There are a couple of good ones, but you often need to "read between the lines". Morin's Anal Pleasure and Health has a wealth of information, but it is often a bit "dryer". Tristan Taormino's Guide to Anal Sex for Women is a good starter but as the title indicates is targeted towards woman. There are also a number of anal guides targeted at gay men, but these might spook an interested newbie (BUT YOU TOLD ME IT WASN'T GAY!!!).

Tristan Taormino is the go to author for all things anal - and she has a web site called pucker-up link. I have her first book also called Pucker Up - but didn't see it on EF. Although most of what Tristen does is for women - she has enough info on men to be useful. For example the last chapter (12) of The Anal Sex Positioning Guide link is dedicated to pegging.

I also have Anal Pleasure & Health by Jack Morin, Ph.D. which is a bit more clinical but very useful link

Chapter 12 of Ride'em Cowgirl talks about the He-spot - for prostate stimulation link

Chapter 9 of Red Hot Touch 'Explore the Back Door' has useful tips for both male and female anal exploration link

There is a little book called Tickle His Pickle link that has some prostate and anal tips in it as well.

Tristan and others have also created a number of quasi-instructional videos on the subject - but I haven't tried any of them.

Me and my husband tried the one-two finger option but he said he hurt too much or something. I just think he feels uncomfortable about it like it will make him turn or something. Wish he was more open minded about it. *sigh*

I can't really accurately answer the poll? So...

A few years ago I was curious to see if he'd like it. He didn't want to be the guy who said "No, I will never like it!!" without trying, so he tried. He said he wouldn't mind trying it again if I really wanted to, but it's not really his thing. It wasn't really great fun my first few times, either, but I came to like it. I think we both agree almost anyone could come to like it somewhat. I don't know if we'll try again or not.

Many people do need to try it a couple of times. It's a bit like coffee - it's different at first and you need to keep at it to really like the sensations. Also like coffee there are some people who never do like it.

My husband I think is turned on by the idea of anal penetration, but it doesn't really do much for him outside of prostate stimulation. He enjoys being toyed with gently around the anus, but outside of that it's p-spot or bust.

As far as how he was first introduced to it, one day he just told me that he'd always been curious about how it would feel and even confessed that he'd tried it himself in the shower a couple of times.

There is not a vote for "tried it...fun occasionally" That's where I fit in. It was more of my wife's suggestion and we tried it. The feeling is good but the idea of it can weird me out.
