I've had several male partners who enjoyed some degree of anal penetration. My ex was pretty much obsessed with it....like, to the point where sex between us became all about his ass all the time. At first I thought it was really hot, because I'm super into role reversal and gender play and the like, but once some of the novelty wore off, I realised that my sexual needs weren't really being met at all. It was all about him and his butt, it was never about me or us. And worse, he didn't really care that my needs weren't being met, and any attempt to talk with him about it just made him super defensive and turned into a huge fight. Yeah, let's just say the problems in that relationship extended far beyond the bedroom.

One day I'd love to have a male partner who's into anal penetration without being such a selfish narcissist about it. I still think it's really hot, so long as his buttplay doesn't come at the expense of my feelings and pleasure. I kind of have a rule where any guy who wants access to my bum has to at least be open to try being on the receiving end himself (at least a finger or two). It seems only fair.

I love it, and was introduced to it by a girlfriend. I was always putting stuff in her ass, and she thought it was only fair to return the favor. Since then it has been a staple in my sex life with all long term partners.

It's an acquired taste. A much more complex stimulation than what the penis delivers. Which is why it is off-putting for guys, in addition to the mental aspects of humility and the submission of being the receptive partner.
