Right now I'm single with no real prospects so my first choice isn't very viable. I'd rather have the confidence and sexual fulfillment of satisfying my own needs alone. If I was with someone but not completely fulfilled.. i don't think it'd matter.

If I'm looking for sexual satisfaction, then yes, I'd much rather be with myself than fumble around with someone sub-par. I've done that, and it wasn't that much fun for me (though he seemed quite content.)
