I spent more time single on the Pill than I did dating while on it. It made my periods a breeze and helped balance the hormonal moods. In fact, I got more of that than for what it's originally for. Not getting pregnant was sort of a bonus for taking it.

Now mine's permanent - tubes are tied.

Yes, I did. I didn't see a need to stop something when it was working for me just because I wasn't in a relationship anymore. Plus, I like knowing when to expect my period. On the pill, I know which 3 days to expect it to start and I like not having that "surprise" ruining clothes.

ah, well if it is working for you that is one thing. myself , i disliked being on the pill, it wreaked havoc with my moods and i was constantly endlessly spotting. off the pill, my cycle is very regular. i couldn't wait to get off it, really.

Oddly enough I've been on Birth Control for over 10 year, and haven't gotten my period at all, and its been great, then out of no where 2 years after getting my IUD I started getting my period. I had talked with my man about getting rid of it, because one of the main reasons I liked it was because I didn't have to deal with tampons and bleeding and pms. He hated it because he always felt it. So I decided to get it removed and then we broke up. Now I'm still going forward with getting it taken out, but find myself single. I haven't gotten it taken out yet (a week to go) and haven't slept with anyone else yet, but kind of puts me in a weird position in my life. Now I'm single and really don't want to be on any birth control, its been so long since I just let my body do what it should do. Shit if I'm going to have to deal with my period why should I have to deal with all that stuff up in there? I'm just going to have to hope the condoms don't break....

Yes.

I do it because it regulates my period and frankly, you never know when might meet someone new who makes you wish you were already on birth control.

Plus I'm on mirena so it'll come out whenever it's supposed to come out.

I went on the pill as a teen to help control my endo. So I always stayed on it regardless so I could survive each month.

Have a FWB that used to be pretty on-again off-again, so I would stop when I thought we were off. However, it just got to be frustrating that I wouldn't be ON when he'd call again, so I just decided to stay on.

I've never really been on birth control pills. I've never had a serious enough long-term relationship to really need it. I've just used condoms mostly. I've always been a bit wary of the side effects of the pill.

I am not. I don't want to risk my health 'just in case'. Although I know that a lot of people are on the pill for health reasons.

I do, because I take pills back to back to avoid my period. That's actually the primary reason why I take it. =)

We've been long distance on and off for years. When we're apart for 6 months or more I stop taking them. Doesn't make sense to pay for something I'm not using. And I don't like how they make me bleed more frequently.

I stay on mine. I don't see a reason why someone would go off, back on, off, back on based on relationship status.

I did. But I got my tubes tied this April. One of the best that ngs I've done for myself in a very long time. I still use condoms for protection though.

I think it is important to be prepared no matter what but historically I fall off the birth control bandwagon when I stop having sex regularly but I don't think that is great. Now I have the nexplanon so I am covered for three years! *high fives*
