Would you go out with a guy if he was shorter than you? I'm talking a half an inch to a couple inches.. enough for a visible difference between your heights.

I used to only want to date tall guys but it seems these days the average height among men is close to mine.. 5'5". I don't have much of an issue but sometimes I wanna feel a bit more small and feminine. I'm more of a tomboy and quite curvy.

I'm only 5'2 so they would have to be pretty short to be shorter than me. But a 1/2 inch or so probably wouldn't bother me.

I'm 5'2 as well, so I'm totally with you on this one! I would have an issue with it...only because then who will reach the things in high places I can't reach?!

I currently am - Master is five-foot-even and I'm six inches taller than him. Took a bit of getting used to, as I never thought I'd be with anyone shorter.

Interesting dynamic, though, as I'm a Big-Ass Celtic Bitch but his total Slave. Everything else about him makes the height difference completely unimportant.

We're all the same height when horizontal.

My husband is only 5'5", i am almost 5'3. It means I cannot wear my heels! LOL I def would like him to be taller tho.

If I were on the dating scene, yes. Height is not something I would take into account. It would be a shame to immediately write off someone who may be perfect for you just because of their height. I guess I just don't really get the idea of having a list of physical requirements when dating. Personality always mattered more to me. And like Chilipepper said, we're all the same height when horizontal!

*laughs* My boss always jokes that's why she hired me...she's teeny, probably about 5'2", and I'm 5'7". She always has to get a ladder or get one of us tall girls to reach the top shelves ^.^

As for men I'd date...my FANTASY is a taller guy. I am quite submissive, and having to look up at my man or reaching up to kiss him gives him quite a bit of dominance over me, in my mind. Though if I met a guy who was in every other way perfect, but he was shorter than me by a couple inches...well, I'm not giving up love for something as trivial as a couple inches. But he'd better damn well be okay with me wearing heels now and then, 'cause I feel uber sexy in them. Not all the time, because they kill my feet...but just when I need to feel like a sex goddess.

My fantasies, after all, are one thing. What I'll find in real life is in all likelihood something very different. Personality, intelligence, and wit are much more important than height.

I'm 5' as well and I don't think I've ever met a man who is shorter than me. I know 10 year old boys who are taller than me so I can't imagine it being easy to find someone shorter than me.

I'm 5 ft 6 and bf is 5 ft 5 not a big deal tho he doesn't like me wearing my huge heels when we go out the bedroom is fine but going out to dinner or the movies he prefers me to wear flats or not so high of a heel lol other than that its not an issue and even that isn't an issue just his preference

this! my brother is about 6 inches taller than me and he is only 13. i've resigned myself to being the shortest in my family (i'm 5' too).

I'm 5'8'', so I would be restricting my dating pool quite a lot if I refused shorter men. Oddly, though, I've only dated taller or equal height men. Not because I won't date shorter men, but because they don't ask me.

I've only ever had one boyfriend who was shorter than me, though I dated him twice (once when I was 13, once when I was 18). He was a super special guy in my life, so the inch or so I had on him was of no issue. Generally though, I much prefer to date a guy a bit taller than myself, or at least my height.

I honestly never notice a guy's height until we're kissing. Somehow, no matter how tall or short someone is, I always see eye-to-eye when talking to them. Maybe I'm height-blind.

I've dated guys taller and shorter than I am... probably more often taller, but I think my height, while average for a woman, is a little below average for a man, so that makes statistical sense. Anyway, I don't really care at all how tall someone is!

It would be difficult to find a man shorter than me. I'm not even 5 ft tall.

IF I were looking and I met a man I could love, of course I'd go out with a shorter man. I honestly have not run into a shorter man than myself, unless he was a little person. That certainly wouldn't care if he was a little person, if he was a good man.

However, due to my own size, I have never gone out with a guy shorter than me. There aren't many of them.

For the record, the average man's height in the USA is 5 ft 9.5 inches. The average height of a man in the USA between 19 and 29 is a full 5 foot 10. Only Boliva, Mexico, a few other Latin countries and several Asian countries have men who are on average under 5 ft 5 inches.

I am generally attracted to shorter guys, though I haven't gotten to date many. My last boyfriend was a few inches shorter and I would wear heals when the mood struck me.

I don't have a height requirement, and I would date a taller man again. but when I'm checking guys out, I love petite guys.

I have dated a guy shorter than me. It wasn't that big of a deal. I am 5'11" and it is hard to find guys taller than me. My husband is 5'10" so there is not that much of a difference.

i like feeling small and am attracted to people taller than me, but i have no problem dating someone my height or shorter one of my partners is a couple inches shorter than me.
