Who you are attracted to has nothing to do with being "curious." Lots of hetero people are very sexually curious, they just want members of the opposite sex for lovers.
A LOT of good research has already been done on this. The Kinsey Scale rates people on a 6 point scale from 0 (completely hetero) to 6 (completely G or L) with lots of variations in between. However, a 5 doesn't make a gay person straight, neither does a 1 make a hetero person gay.
About 10% of the male population is gay, about 3-7% (depending on which studies you read) of the female population is lesbian. More younger people (under 25 or so) experiment with bisexuality, but few of them stay with it for life. Most go on to either being G/L or hetero. The percentages of true bisexuals are not written in stone, but are probably close to the percentages of homosexuality, but with women having a higher rate of bisexuality than men in most studies.
There is a LOT of research on this and it varies. But, opinion makes no difference in it. People can't "make" themselves bisexual anymore than gay or lesbian people can "make" themselves straight.
I'm hetero (a 1 on the Kinsey scale) and I am as curious as hell... I just want men as my partners, there is plenty to be curious about in what works for me, as there is for many people of all orientations.
