Writing a review

Out of all the things included in a review of a product, what do you consider to be the most important? Least important?

To me, the most important is a sense that the reviewer has the product and has taken the time to learn the product. The least, or one thing I take lightly is if the reviewer hasn't met the most important points, I take their personal experiences like a grain of salt.

I have five things I look for. Material, use, size, cleaning/care and how it worked for the person. If it has vibration, I want to see something about that as well.

After that I want to be able to tell that the person writing has actually used it and I like to 'hear' some of their personality. Those are my basic things I look for in a regular review.

Now, you placed this thread in the Descriptive Review area, those I have more expectations. I do not want to have any questions what so ever when I am done reading them. It is a big plus if they can get their personality into the review while still following the guide lines.

The thing is, very one looks for different things. So what I like others may not like or want to see more.

Based on the Eden template, Performance is my most valued section and Maintenance is my least.

For me it is the actual personal experience, the things I would never know just by looking at the product's description and photos.

I agree with the personal experience section. I like reading how people really felt with the product.

I always check personal experience and performance sections of a review first, to check it meets what I'm looking for in said product. If those two things check out, then I'll read the rest of the review...if not, then I'll skim the rest of the review to see if there's a surprise in there that will sway me otherwise
