EF points

I was wondering if you can use your EF points when requesting for an assignment to be able to get a more expensive item to review?

Not that I know of, but you can use points towards a buyout assignment which gives you a 30% discount.

I so wish we could. That would be totally awesome. But I guess that's what the buyout section is for.

Are you simply looking for something outside your price range, like in the next price range? Or are you looking to review something that's above the $75 cap for all reviewers?

I was looking for something outside my price range, but not over the 75.00

I can't guarantee anything, but the guidelines say that you can send in a ticket. If it's available for review, they MIGHT okay it, but again, I cannot promise anything. The worst they can say is "No" right?

If you tried this, I would suggest you include justification as to why you think it would be appropriate to assign to you despite being outside of the pricing guidelines. Give a compelling reason rather than simply submitting a request.

Part of why I said it's a possibility, not a guarantee. But just like when there is a review on an item and you have to give compelling reason, it's the same for this. I agree!

Can't you just request it as buyout and pay some of the remaining 70% with points?

Yes, anyone who's Advanced can do that at any time. But she's talking about getting the product for free review and paying out the amount above her range in points.

Also, getting a mentor to help you with reviews and writing more reviews will help your rank increase.

You can always ask for an item specifically and if the staff think you have a good reason or can offer a unique perspective...Like all the posted reviews are from women and the toy is a prostate massager.
A mentor can help immensely if only to point out the features of the site you might not be aware of.
