Free assignments?

Contributor: Lildrummrgurl7 Lildrummrgurl7
I have a few questions regarding free assignments. I understand that we are only eligible for one free assignment every 30 days. Is this 30 days from the time you submit a request, accept the assignment, or publish the review?

Also, when you're eligible for a free assignment, can you also request a buyout and have them shipped together? Or can you only have one type of assignment at a time?

1. From my understanding, it's 30 days from the moment you accept/request the assignment. I was just looking in my assignments and my last EF sponsored review was submitted (requested) on the 28th of June. I then finished and published the review on the tenth of July. When I go to request a product right now, it says I must wait until the 28th of July before I am eligible again. So it's from the day the assignment is requested : )

As for your second question, YES! You can have a sponsored review and do buy outs at the same time, in the same cart.. One nice thing about this is that the shipping will still be free because of the sponsored assignment free shipping.

I hope this helps a bit and if you have any other questions, feel free to message me! Good luck!

30 days from the time you publish the reviewed assignment.

So is Kendra correct? It's from when you published it? I had been wondering the same thing myself. Thanks.

No, it is from the time you request it. My last free assignment was requested on the 7th, and I can request my next one on August 6th. My review for the item I requested this month was published on the 19th.

It is an interesting idea to only allow free assignment requests 30 days after you finish the last one...it would certainly keep stragglers from waiting forever to finish their assignments

I agree that it's an interesting idea, but I'm not sure it's the best one. If they made it so that you had to wait 30 days after completing the assignment, I think a lot of people would be rushing to get the review done as soon as they received the item. The way it's currently set up seems like a much better system.

Ok, let me see if I have everything straight!
I can request an "assignment" (If/when I become "advanced"); that would be free (shipping and all)?
I would just have to write a review within a certain amount of time.
And anything else in my cart, AS LONG AS I HAVE AN ASSIGNMENT, will be shipped free?
I can do a "buy out" to get 30% off an item if I really want it?

Ok, let me see if I am right!

Yes, but there currently no toys that are available for a free assignment (I already checked), and with the buyout assignment, you have to publish a review. You don't just get 30% off. Also I think they'll charge shipping for the items that aren't for the assignment, but they won't for the assignment item, so if you have a mixture in your cart, they'll still charge some shipping.

Oh, thanks!
How do you check for free assignments?

Actually, you get free shipping on orders containing assignments. I frequently order other things with my free/buy-out assignments, often not totaling enough to qualify for "free shipping", but because I have an assignment in my order... the shipping is free.

Yeah you can do as many buyouts a month as you want I think. Is that correct?
