#AskEden - What do you do when lingerie doesn't fit right?

Contributor: *Camoprincess* *Camoprincess*
If you get a review item you were excited about but it was a FAIL? I got a piece of lingerie and according to the size chart it SHOULD fit me sadly it doesn't. I am not sure how to write a review on this as it wouldn't be a positive review, which I know we are ONLY required to give an honest review. This made me feel super UGH about myself Especially considering according to the size chart it should have fit. So what do you do? Do you just write the review since you attempted the item and give the specifics and then put you thoughts in the "Experience" section?

Return and exchange it for the bigger right size.

This was a One Size Fits Most and One Size Queen so can't go up in size since I got the One Size Queen that according to the charts would fit

You simply write an honest opinion. It doesn't matter if it is positive or not. I would include specifics regarding measurements since it did not fit you. This will help readers decide if it will fit their own body. I actually don't mind writing negative reviews because I feel like I'm doing the community a service by detailing the problems with the item.

Honest reviews are negative and positive, so I don't see what the problem here is? You've surely seen plenty of negative reviews on Eden. If it's not a DR you can be entirely subjective through the whole review if you want. Talk about what parts didn't fit you, your measurement, the size chart, and who it WOULD fit.

This is the perfect answer!

We want you to give a review on a product that fits you properly and you're comfortable with.

Thanks digit88!

Except in this case the original poster has noted that she can't purchase a bigger item, as the item is only available in OSFM and Queen Size. She has already purchased the queen size.

My advice to the original poster is to write an honest review. Tell about the poor sizing -- that's important information, after all! Honest reviews do not need to be positive. I've written a number of negative, honest reviews -- even for some assigned reviews.

We're actually not supposed to write reviews on broken toys or mis-sized clothing. I was assigned a negligee that didn't fit me in a small and also didn't fit me in a Large (it only comes in two sizes) I returned the clothing and the assignment was canceled by the administration. I never wrote the review and was instructed not to write one on the garment.

Submit a support ticket before writing a review on something simply because it didn't fit you. If you can't get a size to fit, ask for the assignment to be cancelled.

While I understand that it may not be proper to write a review on an item that doesn't fit properly... I still think it's a good idea to have a review out there that says that the size chart is incorrect. Personally, I'd love to know what item it is, just so I can make a note of the item being sized a bit small.

When that kind of thing happens to me, I'll often just add a comment to the item's Product Page to give people a head's up. I've seen others do that too, and I've found it helpful. Just a little note like: "This thing runs WAY small" or something similar is enough to give a head's up.

Then, let JR deal with it from there.
