Why is every item I want to review not allowed?

lalapetitee lalapetitee
I tried at least 6 items but they all say they have 3 reviews waiting. Does that mean I can't ever request that item? Seems too confusing to find items that don't have reviews already :-(

You can always do a buy out review on those items. That means you purchase it, but get a 30% discount on it, and you are still under obligation to write your review.

Also, when you're doing your product search, make sure and put "Without any reviews" in the box, and you won't have that problem.

On the review page, on the left hand side, do a product search, and make sure you choose the option 'without reviews'. That will basically find the stuff you can review. You can also specify to keep it under your price limit as well.

With the buyout option how many items can I get at once? Can I use a a coupon code at checkout? I tried the without review search and some items still leaked thru.

You can get as many as you want at a time with the buyout price. There is no code or anything, but, if you want to send a little commission my way, you could put in partner code TUE

Thanks hun! Gonna write your code down for my future orders.

you can also get your own code and use it yourself, by becoming an affiliate. there's a bunch of threads on how to do that. Also, i think the going rate is 3 reviews per item that are available for reviewers free of charge. if you see an item on the product search page (without specifying 'without reviews' since 3 reviews are allowed on each item) then hover over the (i) and it'll say how many reviews are already on the item. if that makes sense? otherwise just checking maybe earlier in the day might get you a better chance at the new new items before other potential reviewers request them?

You can only have six buyout assignments at a time.

Thanks so much. I didnt know I could get my own and put money back in my pocket. I tried using a affiliate code on my buyout items but it didn't take. Did anyone else try this? I only found one item that hadn't been reviewed 3 times that I could actually use :-( but hey its free.

What do you mean, "it didn't take"? If the item was free or you requested a buyout assignment, no additional discount can be given. But, the person whose code you used gets a percentage of the sale and only they would be able to see that information.

Yes, that is correct. You can post them to your blog or you can post them on the site. Keep in mind, you can't do both and I'm not entirely sure but pretty sure that you aren't supposed to switch back forth between the two.

Just write in "without any reviews" and make sure that your toy is within your price range. My first ever assignment request was declined but my second one was shipped right away!

You can't stack discounts. So if you buy an item using the buyout option, you can not apply any other coupon or discount to reduce the price further.

Absolutely. You can use points or Gift Cards received from EF to pay for the entire amount.

yah, it's good to know you can have your own affiliate code and use it also, i forgot to mention that you can't stack discounts, such as with the affiliate codes. though... i think if you're wanting to help someone else out, if you click on an affiliate link, ie through a blog of an affiliate and there's a LINK or a banner that takes you directly to ef, they get like 20% commission. No added discount to you, though they don't stack anyhow so that wouldn't be an issue with a buy-out. Ayeaye this is confusing to communicate. Hope that makes sense though. Also, my first review that is sponsored by ef i have yet to be done with and i got it several monthes ago. The first propduct did come apart after a month just as i was getting done with the review, though so i've essentially had 2 products to review, though i know its' been more than 6 weeks. I'm just a perfectionist and procrastinator and been busy, Soon though~! They haven't bugged me about it. They just won't send a new product for review either.

My question is, lets say the total cost of my order is $100. If I use gift cards and points to pay for $90 of it, do I get commission for the whole $100, or just $10?

I've not used my own code for commissions yet. Though, I think the whole amount is applicable to the commission total? Also, if you want a bigger commission, then I'd suggest maybe the whole Affiliate Link thing. When you want to make a profit off yaself, and are making a buy-out purchase, since coupons don't stack, it seems like going through an affiliate link would be more fruitful. Like, you woudn't get a discount, but with 30% discount already and points, you might not need it. Then you would get 20% commissions back in your hand. I'm not quite sure on whether you'd be able to like link from your blog or account though and make a buy-out for sure as I have not. Seems like a really awesome opportunity to help yourself out and if you contribute a review, not abuse E.F.
and hola from ia

That's a dang good idea. Maybe that is how I got so much commission last month....LOL! Although, I have one theory to say that it might not work. There have been very few times that I've remembered to put in my code, and SUPPOSEDLY, if you click on one of those affiliate links, the code is supposed to stick with you for 180 days, so that if you come back to the site at a later time, the person would still get credit. So that would mean that technically, it would already work for me, and I haven't noticed my commission going up THAT much. So, I don't know....lol.

The cookie does stick with you (and anyone else who clicks on your affiliate link) but if your cookies are cleared, it will no longer register as your commission unless you click the link again.

Okay, yeah, I didn't think about that. And there are some browsers (I think firefox is one) that clears cookies every time you restart the browser.

It looks like everyone else has answered your question about assignments, so I'll help out on this one.

You can post reviews on your blog. When you click the "write review" button on your dashboard, the first option that pops up is whether if your review will appear here or on your blog.

There is a smaller form to fill out, with the title, pros, cons, etc and you will link to your blog post. The end result would look like this: link (my recent offsite review)

You can choose to switch back and forth between onsite or offsite reviews if you wish, you just can't get credit as part of the Eden Ambassador program if you are receiving products as an Advanced Reviewer (which you are).
