Getting verified reviews

Ok.. something I'm a little confused about. (Bare with me. I'm a newb.) How do some contributors have tooons of reviews, some within just days of each other, that are all verified if it can take a long time to approve requests? Are they all buy out assignments bought one at a time? (I'm guessing probably not since buy out is a new thing.) Maybe I'm not asking the right questions...
What I really want to know is, what is the key to getting a lot of verified reviews?

Well, I'm in the description program. You're sent toys, some within days of each other- they seem to approve those reviews on particular days and all sorts of verified and description reviews pop up at once.

The program used to send toys out as often as you requested them, then it started to get slower, then there was a halt to shipment of reviews because they had a hard time catching up to all the requests (from what I understand), and now it's one a month for contributors.

Welcome to Eden then! There are two ways to manage a verified review if you're new. You can request one free toy a month that will be verified. You can also request one toy at a time through the buy out program at a 30% discount. They can overlap. I don't know if there is a time limit on the buy-out program. I don't think so, but I'm pretty sure that you have to submit the review before you buy another.

There are a number of reviewers that are involved in special programs. An example is the Descriptions program. They get toys before they are open to the general public to review. Older reviewers have higher price limits and sometimes are allowed to request special items.

There are other ways to increase your rank, but that's not the verified reviews. You essentially just have to wait and write the reviews as soon as you feel you're ready.

Yeah, it takes a while for my verified reviews to get approved, whereas it only takes a day or two for my regular reviews to get approved. I agree that they probably go through all of the verified/description program stuff on a specific day.

The verified reviews are actually read by staff. They can have editorial comment added into them for clarity, safety, etc. It's part of the value I think. The regular reviews pop up immediately. The purpose of them is to get more reviews on the site.

Ok, it's starting to make more sense.

Is there an approval period for buy out assignments? Or can you purchase it right away?

Or is that what you mean by "regular" reviews?

When you are browsing an item for buyout, you add it to your assignment cart then select buyout from there. You will get an e-mail right away with a discount code you put in when you're using the checkout system. I believe it is automated thus no approval.

Regular reviews are ones that are not free items or buy out items. So anything you may already own and decide to do a review for.
