Do you ever request free assignments for items you know you probably won't like or be able to use?

Contributor: FieryRed FieryRed
When requesting free assignments, do you just try for anything and everything available within your price range, just to get something for a free review? Or do you request only products that are likely to be useful and/or enjoyable for you?

For example, if you lean more toward the "size queen" end of the spectrum, would you request a smaller-than-average toy for review, just because it's within your price range? If you're not a fan of anal stimulation, would you still request anal toys? Et cetera, et cetera.

No but I would be open to trying some new toys but it would have to be an item I think I would use and enjoy

No! I only request products I know I'll use. It's really unfair to request something you know you won't like or won't use. That doesn't lead to the best review. It's better to leave those items for people who can write thorough reviews on them because they like those products and can use it well enough to write an accurate review on it.

That said, I will request an item I'm not 100% I'll like but that I know I will be able to use. My newest assignment is a G-spot vibrator I was iffy about. I've tried it multiple times and now I know why I was iffy about it. But it's not a type of toy I'd never use like a P-spot massager or anything...

There have been times that I've requested something a little bit different to try it out, but it's always been something I found interesting.

No, I think that is kind of unfair. Also You will probably be biased towards writing a negative review then if you did select something you weren't interested in.

I might request a type of item that is new to me, but I wouldn't ask for something I know I wouldn't like. I figure every toy/lube has a potential fan club (no matter how limited), so I'd rather take a pass on something that doesn't appeal to me, in hopes that someone who would find it appealing will be selected to try it out.

If it is something I know we won't use I won't request it. If it something different that I think we might like then I will request it and hope it works.

I would not request something I know I wouldn't like or use. I do not think it is fair to EF, to those reading reviews or for other EF members who would enjoy trying them out and reviewing them. We do not have any desires for anal toys so my wife has turned down assignments for those type of toys. Hopefully those who enjoy those toys got an opportunity to review them.

I don't generally request toys anymore because I like to let others have the opportunity since my toy collection is so full, thanks to EF!~

I won't accept a review for a product I either cannot use or don't feel I would enjoy because I feel like that would deprive someone who would enjoy it of the opportunity. There are very few toys I totally wouldn't review though...

I only request or except push/DR assignments if it is something that I want to try or think I might like. If it is something I know I won't like or that it is a material or something I can't use I don't say oh let me grab this cause its free that isn't me

I'll pick anything just so I get more experience with toys in general. I'm so new I really don't know exactly what I'll like or don't like until I try. I'll give an honest review anyway. Maybe something will surprise me and be good when I thought it wouldn't.

I don't. I'd rather save the items I wouldn't enjoy for those who would. It makes sense, doesn't it?

No. I wouldn't be able to give a good review of it.

No, I will grab things I've never tried before if they seem like they might be appealing, or I'm curious about them - but if I flat out know I won't like it, or it won't be the right type of toy for me, I don't bother. It would make reviewing feel like a chore if I had to force myself to use something that doesn't "do it" for me in any way!

I just turned down a free assignment yesterday. If the shoe doesn't fit, I don't wear it

I try to request items that I'm not sure if I'll like That way I won't have a super biased opinion of them and I get to try something new! I won't request/accept assignments that I KNOW I'll dislike though.

No, it's a waste and if I KNOW I won't like it for sure, I'm not getting it take up more room.

No. I will not accept an assignment if it's something I absolutely cannot or will not use. It isn't fair to the people who DO want that product and could be reviewing it, reviewing something THEY want. However, there's been a couple of times when there was nothing to review, so I had to choose a babydoll I didn't find the prettiest and once the "property of groom" camisole, but I was ecstatic thinking the boyshorts would be awesome. Too bad it didn't come with those! Lol.

But if an assignment is sent to me or it's something that will be approved, but I can't use it (anal toys), then I won't accept becaus I know there's somebody here who would love to have it as an assignment. I just had a anal dildo that could've been used vaginally for me, sent as a possible assignment and I couldn't accept it because I felt like it wouldn't be fair to someone else.

I try to wait until I find something I'm at least a good bit interested in. I usually do. But no, I won't take just anything. If it's a toy I will use, but don't know for sure I'll love it, that doesn't deter me from accepting it or requesting it because there's been tons of times when I wasn't sure I'd really love something, and ended up really lovin' it!

If the item is something I am positive I will not use or like, I will pass on it. If however it is something I am uncertain of, more likely than not I will give it a try. I have found some items, such as metal cock rings, that I didn't think I would be crazy about, turned out to be fantastic.

Not really...I mean I do sometimes order something that is out of my current comfort zone, just to try and experience it, but I won't order something that I might be allergic to, or that I know for a fact won't fit my anatomy or work with my body for some other reason. I wouldn't be able to give an accurate review if I did that. I've occasionally had to let someone else try something out for me because I ended up not really getting anything out of it or couldn't push myself to try it, but it always ends up with an accurate review somehow

No, I only request items if they're something I really want. If it's something I'm not going to use, or even like, then I'd rather it go to someone else who would appreciate it.
