Extreme amount of reviews.

So I was going through looking at some of the big known reviewers on Eden and seeing the amount of reviews they have written. Some have written quite a few meaning (ALOT) I was just wondering how do you write that many? With time and amount of types of toys out there.

Well, as someone who wrote 100 reviews in 107 days for my first 100 reviews and who is trying to publish 7 reviews per day this week for double points week - let me answer this question.

First of all - some of the people who have written hundreds of reviews - have been here for years writing reviews. Laur3n has been reviewing for maybe 3 years now - which would be over 1000 days and has written a little over 600 reviews the last time I checked. That is not quite one per day. She might have been reviewing products longer than that - I'm not sure. But I know she's been reviewing a long time.

Now when you look at all the various categories of stuff you can review - anywhere from bath and body products to lingerie to dildos to vibrators to porn movies to books to candles to almost anything else...that's a lot of opportunities to review products. Some are going to be good - some are duds.

Now let me look at my own reviews. Since I have a template for my lingerie reviews - I can write one in about 2 hours. This includes the time it takes to take the photos, edit the photos, get the information on measurements and how to clean the garment, gather my thoughts on the item after wearing it around for a bit and trying to sit in it, lay down in it, possibly sleep in it, etc. I don't count my "trying on" time in that amount of time. I love lingerie - so I have a lot of it....hence a lot of stuff to review.

I used to be a book reviewer for a certain niche of products and I can whip out reviews fairly easily once I get my thoughts together. I'm also a full-time homemaker so I have plenty of time every day to work on reviews.

In addition, I've been married for 32 years now and my partner and I love to have sex on a very regular basis - sometimes daily. So it doesn't take us long to try out new toys and figure out if they work well for us and what are the good points and the bad points about them. Oftentimes after trying out a new product, we'll lay in bed and discuss how it worked, what my partner felt would have worked better, etc. etc. etc.

Anyway - I guess it's just a matter of time, having the chance to use the products a lot and having the ability to write come fairly naturally.

I love reviewing and I hope that when folks read my reviews, they can recognize that even though I write a lot of them and I write them fairly fast - I write quality reviews (or try to).

At 2 hours per day, that is 14 hours per day each day this week if you are writing 7 per day? Seriously? How do you find that much time lol..... That's intense!

Oh and to answer your question OP, I don't have as many as some of the reviewers here, and I certainly don't have as much time as Texas Mama does to be able to do that lol... but for me, I just write them as I am watching a movie, or when I have spare time. It's a hobby really, so it's something I enjoy doing if/when I have the chance. Some days I'll have time to write a few, and other days I'll write none because I do things other then EF. I guess it really depends on how busy your life is as well. If someone has a full time job (which I don't have at the moment) or has children living at home (which I don't at the moment), goes to school, participates in clubs or social outings with friends, etc than of course, they don't have as much time to review as often. If I was working right now, I would not have the time to do the reviews that I do that's for sure.

I am two away from 200 reviews. I made my first hundred from May to November. And this hundred since November. I love to write and review products, my husband and I are extremely sexually active and I get super excited to write the reviews after I have played with an item for quite a few hours. I really want to pass on the info I have learned. Basically because I absolutely love reviewing the products, love writing and am very active on the site. I own two businesses, small ones, or I would be doing a lot more!!

I don't write a ton of reviews here, but have been around for a while. Being part of the porn club has definitely helped get my numbers up (you get 2 DVDs every 2 months if you are in good standing, I think). Also joining the video review program and descriptive reviews..... Yea I'm usually pretty casual about how many reviews I do, but occasionally I'll just bang out a lot of them. Especially when I've had products for a while it's pretty easy for me to speak my mind about how they work and what my experience was with them.

I've been at it for years. I get stretches where I don't write anything, and then stretches where I'll sit down and spend a whole day writing reviews and release them slowly over the next week or so as to not overwhelm the community news page.

I had to go look to double check but as of today I have 144 reviews up. That's not as many as some but is a decent amount I think.

I spend a lot of time reviewing. I view it almost as a second job outside of my full time day job. When I get home, in between feeding and bathing my son I edit pictures. While he's eating or watching TV I start typing up my review. I do this pretty much every night unless I'm really tired or have a package that needs photos taken. I'd say 80-90% of my spare time is spent on reviews. Basically it boils down to hard work and dedication just like anything else you want to be good at in life. It's time consuming, yes, but rewarding.

As mentioned, there are so many products that it's not hard to get many reviews. There's multiple categories and then so many products in each category. It's virtually endless.

I think another thing to point out is to make sure it's quality in addition to quantity. I may have a lot of reviews posted, but I take pride in knowing each one is written in great detail. Getting 100 two paragraph reviews up is easy enough. Getting 100 quality reviews up - that's more work but better for everyone.

I am currently at 154, which is because I write one or two reviews a day. I have been here since July. It takes me about an hour to right a toy review, but 45 minutes to write a lingerie review. I put a lot of my time into reviews and testing the products. I am dedicated to writing great reviews and love to do it.
