How do you decide how to vote a review?

Does the length of the review make a difference? The form used (standard vs extended) influence your decision? What about photos? Do obvious misspellings or grammar/punctuation errors reduce your rating? Or is the actual content the most important?

My number one is that there has to be the vital info. I prefer pics but don't rate lower if there are none. I don't care what form is used as long as all important info is included. And, yes, I do deduct "points" for multiple misspellings and grammar errors, even though I also make mistakes. If there aren't many then it doesn't make a difference but if there are a ton, I automatically vote it one level below what I would have without the errors.

What about you?

I hope when you say you deduct from errors you mean only the ones that didn't have an editor. I just look for certain things in reviews, if they have pictures I rate higher than I would have but I don't deduct from not having them. The length and details do matter to me, if they choose the extended form and they only have two or 3 lines per category that is automatically a low score.

I look for material info, functions, what lubes are compatible with the item, how to clean and store the item. I mean there is a lot I look for. I don't vote lower because pictures aren't added not everyone has the equipment to add photos so I can't hold that against them. I choose to add photos to my stuff though to help others get a better feel of the item

I look for information that should be obvious to any user but isn't included in the official product info. Otherwise, it just duplicates Eden's work and it's generally useless.

I agree with this. It's important that the reviewer includes details about how the toy actually felt to them, what they liked/didn't like etc.
