Hypoallergenic is NOT hyphenated.

I keep seeing it under safety features, in product descriptions, in reviews, here on the forums... and it's driving my crazy. Hypoallergenic is not hyphenated.

It's not hyphenated by Oxford.

It's not hyphenated by Wikipedia.

It's not hyphenated by Dictionary.com.

It's not hyphenated by Answers.com.

It's not hyphenated by Merriam-Webster.

Please keep this in mind when writing/editing/mentor ing/programming EF/etc.

I didn't think it was but I put it like that in my reviews because it was like that on the product page and I thought that I was wrong and just decided to do what the site had it as.

I'm too lazy to check, but I think I did the same thing in an early review (or two). At the time I had a go-with-the-flow approach, but the more I edit the -er the misspelling is making me.
