Masked Reviews?

Contributor: Noira Celestia Noira Celestia
Do you think doing video reviews wearing a mask would be a lame idea or a fun idea? Each review could be a different style mask. Sounds sort of erotic to me but I'm wondering if it would be more annoying to people in a review than appealing? Would it depend on the kind of review?

I think it's a great idea, provided we're not talking about a crappy Halloween mask. The mask has to be pretty or interesting, otherwise I think it will become annoying very quickly. It's also important that if you're speaking, you can be heard clearly.

This was my thought about it also, if they were not exciting masks or they inhibited speaking ability it would defeat the purpose.

I don't really think a review should be trying to be erotic. It should be informative.

For me, putting on a mask would not give anything to the review. It would only make me wonder why they were trying to cover up their face. That's just my view.

If might be fun if the mask fit the vibe's style. For some reason, though, I feel that a mask would make me feel more awkward than someone's boobs front and center.

Well I was sort of trying to think of a way to be innovate and have a personal theme, but maybe I'm over thinking it. That's why I asked if it was a lame idea or not. ;3

Give it a whirl and see how it looks. If it looks good, you've got a thing. If it doesn't look as cool as you thought, delete the vid and move on.

Personal preference: Skip the mask. If you don't want to show yourself, it's as easy as just not appearing in front of the camera.

It depends on how it's done. It could be distracting, or not depending on the person and the mask.

I find it simple to not show my face, and I wouldn't want every person who does a video to use a mask. I imagine it would distract from the review and the product being presented.

But, maybe once in a while. See how it goes.

You never know until you try Go for it! What could it hurt. If you find you don't like it, you can always ditch the idea! I am going to be doing reviews soon and I have been thinking of ways to make it fun for the viewer AND for me. You having a good time with it, I think, is part of the fun!

I'm planning to make some adult videos with a blindfold or mask to partially cover my face, but I think in a regular video review it might be distracting... unless the review was for the mask

If you think it would help you stand out and be uniquely you then go for it! YOu can always delete the vid if you don't like the results like JR suggested. It's definitely not been done before and we DO have reviewers who wear their kitty or puppy ears while video reviewing so the precedent has already been set. While written reviews should be informative the video equivalent can be quirky and fun...have you seen the amazing ones by Lady A? Now I know those aren't exactly video reviews, per se, but they are fairly informative when you consider they show the toy along with a real comparison for size and stuff.
