Product dimensions, material, properties...What to include? Is it repetitive?

I agree it can be a little much. I feel like I just read that on the product page. I clicked on the review to find out how the product actually worked and were there any pleasant or less that appealing surprise.

Yup it's definitely up and there and working I had a nosey at it when I did my book review, wasn't really useful to use with a book review though.

It is very well laid out from what I read and I was impressed, for a minute I thought I had warped to some weird section I hadn't discovered earlier lol. Looking forward to using it with a toy review, much better layout and I think it will be easier for some to use too.

I try to include more material info, but always end up out-writing the review limit then. So I include specific points and will add on in comments/experience or the follow up review.

I was just thinking while I wrote out a review how redundant the specs were a few days ago. I realize that the material section can be used to describe the toy's texture as well as what it is made of, so I guess that's one good thing. As for size, I think we as the reviewers can make the sizes more reader friendly with a comparison. You know, the length of a dollar, or as big around as a pencil. Something the "average" reader will know and be able to picture. As opposed to just inches.

I try to include whether I found the reported dimensions or characteristics to be accurate - not all are! For what ever reason some 'stock descriptions' under or over report dimensions.

Aside from that I want to relay how well it 'fit the bill' for it's intended purpose - presumably to lead up to or 'create' an orgasm.

I also try to include any useful tips I found for making a toy more exciting/successful for it's intended use.

I put everything (unless I forget something).
Ok, it may be boring to read info that's on the product page but I have seen so many times that if you don't put all that, you will get voted lower!

Besides, I don't read the product page info unless I'm REALLY interested in the item. But even if I do read it, it doesn't bother me reading that info again in the reviews. I read info on so many toys that it just refreshes my memory. Nothing wrong with that!

I am unsure.

I think some things might not worth putting but it is best to put it all because the information could be wrong. I have seen a lot of information such as a toy only having one speed when mine had three.

I do feel that a lot of it like size and other info that's given on the product page is repetitive. I still include it because I heard people would be upset if I didn't. I do think we spoon feed them though. Lol. Now when it comes to safety, I do think it's important to provide things like "requires use of condom due to porous material" and all because that is a very important thing. I would rather give too much than too little, but honestly having to put EVERYTHING that's already in the description feels like it takes up all the room I have for things I want to include about they toy that is not stated. I've had to cut some things I thought was very important about thy toys in half because of using up all my words on length, size, color, materials, etc. I mean I don't think we should have to give every single detail that's already provided. I'd much rather read the person's personaly experience and things opinion rather than read what's already available.

it depends on the product, sometimes it is repetitive but with certain things I like knowing the exact dimensions, there are many products that list nothing and some reviewers miss it too. Lingerie is a big one, if it has an adjustable size what is the length of the ties, if the toy flares out what is the largest girth and the smallest?

I prefer very thorough reviews. I believe good reviews should include all the details related to them, so I don't have to take an extra step clicking on the Properties and Instructions section to find what was being left out.

i think the reviews should include everything they need to know about the product, repetitive or not. i get annoyed having to flip back and forth between the product pages just to figure out if this is a good product for me. and sometimes, toys can differ in real life than what's posted on Eden, so that's always important to note. with more facts, it's better to decide what kind of toy works for what kind of people

I prefer as much information as possible in my reviews. Sometimes when shopping around I look through so many toys that I start to get their specs mixed up. Reading reviews with that type of information helps remind me, "Oh yeah, this vibrator uses AA batteries instead of AAA," and such. However, just listing the specs like on the product information page is not really helpful. If someone can put into more "realistic" terms how big a vibrator is, how powerful it is, etc., then that is a really great review!

I've recently shifted from including dimensions and material info in my reviews to only touching on it. I will be like "Okay this is silicone you can read more about that *here* and it's relatively large." instead of giving an entire spiel every single time. I think that what people want to know is "I'm a size queen, am I going to like this." Or "I'm an anal newbie, is this going to terrify me?" which giving someone physical measurements can't really answer. And for fear of getting repetitive, I just link to the materials page.
