Should there be a max amount of reviews for a product?

That's a great point! I say write the review.

I don't think there should be a limit because you can have one toy and several opinions of that toy, and if you put a limit you may never know if you missed the opinion that worked best for you. Or if there is a limit of, let's say 5, then you could end up with 5 of the same opinion OR 5 poorly written opinions that leave you questioning.

Each review is different and yours could help someone else deciding to purchase that same thing but isn't for sure.

I don't think there should be a limit. Often newer reviewers only have a small number of toys, and often those are the most popular toys. I'd hate for new reviewers, who are trying out their chops and learning how to write reviews, not be able to review what they have on hand.

I have a million toys, so unless I find a really unusual use for a common toy, (or I'm one of the first to write a review on a certain toy) I avoid the really common toys, like of course the Hitachi. Unless one could find a really unusual use for it ("Hey! I inserted it!" Nope, I already wrote that one, but it was a April's Fools joke review.) I wouldn't write a review for it.

Although my first review for Eden was the Wahl. It has a lot of reviews.

I think the toys should remain open, if for no other reason to encourage newer reviewers to write.

I don't think so because we all write differently and include different things in our reviews.

I write them no matter the amount of current reviews, because everyone has different opinions and it's great to read others reviews!

I am more likely however to want to review a product which has a smaller amount of reviews just to contribute a little more information to those who might be curious.

It would have to have a LOT of reviews for me to consider not adding one, unless the toy somehow managed to hurt me or something. If I feel all the bases have been covered by the other reviews already, I won't write one.

But no, I don't think there should be an official "max."

No, there shouldn't be. That isn't fair. Everyone deserves to share their opinions and thoughts.

When a product is very good or very popular there should be a lot of reviews! Also when I am finding reviewers to follow I want to get their take on certian items. That way I can tell if they rate items in a similar way. And then that helps me trust their opinion on new stuff! No limits!
