To Comment Or Not To Comment

I was just wondering, since the number of comments left on reviews is taken into account, are you less likely to leave a comment in a review if you feel it was sub-par? Also, what reasons do you or don't you leave comments?

I personally will usually leave a comment if I liked a particular part of the review, or even just the review in general, and say what part I enjoyed. Of course, if there is a question I have about the toy, I will ask that, too. If I find a review uninteresting, I guess I typically don't have much to say.

I usually comment when the review is really good or the toy seems really interesting and the reviewer conveyed that well.

I'll also comment with questions on less than stellar reviews or if something I want to know was simply not included in the review.

I'm definitely more apt to comment vs just vote if the review was good reading. If I get bored or frustrated part way thru, I'll often just close the window.

I find I skip reviews if the toy doesn't interest me or if it's by someone I know I don't like to read. (We all have those, don't we?) Conversely, I'll read reviews of toys I'm unlikely to buy if they're written by someone I know writes really good reviews.

I guess it's all kind of a mixed bag.

I think people are most likely to get comments if the review is really good or really bad. Middle of the road stuff tends to get passed over, it seems.

I don't really have a set policy, though I think I ought to. I'll ask questions if I have any, and sometimes leave a "good review" bit, but then again sometimes I don't (especially if there are many "good review" type comments).

I do the same thing. I'll put a comment if I think it was a really good review or ask a question if it's not clear in the review.
I'm a mixed bag too!

I leave a comments if it was a good review or if I have question(s). Of if I have used the product I might add a little info I think is use full that was left out.

I'll leave a comment for a few reasons:
-If the review was really informative, then I'll just give a general "great review" happy comment
-If the review content was decent, but the tone/style made me laugh or amused me
-If I have a specific question (esp. if I'm interested in the toy)

I don't leave comments on reviews that bore me or are annoying in how they are written. If I don't have anything constructive to say, I'll just vote and move along.

I comment if anything in the review leaves me with something to say. This can be because I liked it or didn't. If the review left me confused or unsure about something or if the reviewer left a lot out. I try to comment on anything but sometimes there just isn't anything to say so I don't push it.

I comment if I have something to say, I do not let the whole ratings thing cloud my judgement.
