I would never. :/ It's really shady business, and I don't see why anyone else would either. Bluh.

What a weird question. O____o

I can see how it works for BlackxxxRose's situation - that makes sense. Something you can't use but have given to another who isn't going to review and write one via their feedback. That seems perfectly okay as long as you state that's the case.

But wut. I guess someone could be trying to cheat the system, but ... why. Is it that important that you can't buy TWO things to review ? Shoot, you could just save up points for those things in less than a month !

i would never right a review on a product i did not own. i feel thats just wrong for those reading and purchasing the product. If you think that people could do that on the things your buying and could totally swing your desicion to buy it or not.

Review something I have never used? I didn't even understand this at first because I didn't now how you could actually review something you have never used. That's exactly it, you can't. No, I would never do that, that goes against the point of having something as great as the review program. I have the privilege of getting products for free and at 30% to prodive HONEST reviews. Plus, I am helping people by giving them my insight on these products. Some of them have never used some of these items and need input from someone who has to spend their money wisely.

I couldn't give an honest opine if it wasn't mine.

Nope! It would be unethical and it would be bad for people trying to get actual useful information before they buy a toy. I want accurate info when I read reviews and would only ever put the same in my own.

I don't think it is fair to other members of Eden to write a review that isn't real. In my opinion you can't give a great first hand review if you don't even own the product. The best part of a review is the personal connection that you have with the product, whether it be positive or negative you still know it was good or bad. To me to wright a review on a toy you don't have is a lie pretty much.

Absolutely not! That would be lying if I did! You cannot, by any means, review a product you do not own and/or have never used. If I caught someone doing this, I would report them and never use one of their reviews again. They would lose all credibility in my book.

No I've never done this, and I never would. It's like you're lying to people if you do that. I expect every review on this site to be from first hand experiences. You cannot judge a toy if you have never bought it or never even used it. Sounds like someone just wants to get points by putting up those kind of reviews.

On EF? No. Absolutely not. Simply because in a sense, we get "paid" to give an honest and informative review.

That would be like reviewing a wine you had never tasted or even smelled.

I would find this very wrong and rather unethical. I could understand a friend or someone wanting to post information about a toy and not wanting to be part of the site but you personaly posting about something you don't own is weird and rather rude.

I might review a toy I didn't own, but not one I'd never used. For example, if a regular partner owned a toy that we shared, I'd review it, but if I'd just seen it on line or in a sex toy store, no way! The experience is a huge part of the review.

I have never done this, And never would..

I would do a review on something I don't own, but have used before..

I have written reviews on things that I have owned in the past. I was a sales rep for another company and I have tried/owned quite a few items (Close to 50 or 60). When I came here last year, to EF, I realized about the reviews that I could write and started adding stuff to my list to do reviews on. They were the exact same product, though I may not have it anymore or didn't purchase it from EF.

However, I would never write a review on something that I don't or haven't owned. That is seriously false advertisement! Not only that, but how on earth would someone be able to provide proper information for others, that wasn't already listed in the product descriptions? Doesn't make any sense and would not be of any use to the readers. UNLESS you presented the product with some sort of "multi purpose use" that might not be suggested in the description or by others, maybe? Say something is a vibrator (I am currently doing this myself, FYI) and I want to use it for a massager instead. Well, most folks may not think to use it as such. Or with the HOT LOVE heated massagers....Anyone think to use these as breast pads for breastfeeding women? Probably not! But its a damn good idea! However, I still think that without owning or have used the product personally, the review would be probably useless and very misleading, I would think.

I have, kinda. My friend and I own the same toy and she was able to give me some input that I wouldn't have thought about. She has no interest in writing reviews or anything, so I don't feel that I was bad, per say.

No, that isn't fair. I've read a review where someone clearly didn't own the toy and people called them out on more than on aspect of their review. That's just embarrassing, I wouldn't do it.

I wouldn't be able to write a good review on something I did not own. It seems like cheating, how can you know how it works if you don't have it or haven't tried it.
