Man, I feel pretty darn aweful! I asked to be voted up after my mentor published my second review. Then I saw that doing that made it so my mentor didn't get her well deserved reward. I feel so bad! She didn't tell me though, or I would not have done that. Isthere anything I can do?

I don't think there is. Unfortunately, this isn't as well publicized as it could be and the reason some people think you should have to pick either mentoring or voting

Another downfall that I've heard of (I hope I've made it clear to my students, none have done it so far---though I do take on advanced students with no expectation of gift card!) is that if a student has a review submitted to their mentor when they go up for voting, it becomes locked in the system somehow. So I warn my students more to avoid that that because of worrying about rewards.

But on another note, I'm just going to add in my two cents into the pile that's probably a million dollars by now about how ineffective the voting system actually is.

I think everyone needs to go through the mentor program at least once. I'm on my second round because I wanted help with a different type of review (bondage) and redvinylkitty has been a blessing. She helped me with my red rendevous kit to point out what should be added in that type of review. I never had any reviews covering that topic and am new to light bondage to begin with so I didn't know what should be included and she is great. I think we can all learn from others that have been here for a while. I'd love to get to work with several more because I think I can learn alot from them.
