Less Than 1 Day to Accept a Student?

We were wondering what sort of time frame Eden gives you to accept a student once they (the student) has made the request now? Alan was on here around mid-day Aug 31, and there were no new student requests. I got on late at night Aug 31, and there was a student request that had already been "Cancelled by system."
Was there a system glitch, or do Mentors really have less than 1 day to accept new students?

If the student sends a request to more than one mentor and another one accepts it before you do, then the system cancels the requests sent to the other mentors. It's happened to me too, lol

As a student I had a request cancelled by the system for unknown reasons (I did not request any other mentors), so the mentor sent me a message letting me know and asking if I still wanted the class. I resubmitted the request and there were no problems the second time around.

I had the same thing happen. What happened to me was the student sent in a request to more than one mentor.

Kinda seems like a tease to ask a few mentors and then see who can race to accept it first. I couldnt bring myself to do that. I'd prefer to ask one at a time. The again, I guess some might think the mentors may not be on each day to check so it saves times for the requesting student. Still, I have time - Im happy to wait to get an answer either way to my request before asking another.
