I'm super excited to finally become a Mentor (Huge thanks to Dangerous Lily, Mistress Kay & Cherry for being my mentors *hugs*)

But now that I am, and now that I have a non advanced student I'm not 100% of the next step as I became advanced right around the time the mentor program began.

My student has written their first review, as their mentor do I assign them a product to be sent to review or do they still need to do the second review on an item they already own? And If I need to do something to assign an item can someone tell me how.

I may be completely wrong in thinking basic level students can be assigned products, yet Im sure I saw it mentioned in a thread I can no longer find.

Congratulations on becoming a mentor! I know you will do a great job

I'm not a mentor myself, but I will try to answer your questions as best I remember when I was a student.

The review does not need to be a product that they already own. You can request a product by following the pricing guidelines and submitting the request to Gary via email. The pricing guideline is generally a product under $30 with under 2 reviews already written. If he approves of the selection, he will push the assignment to your student who would then have to accept it. I also believe that you do not need to wait a full month between assignments with the mentor program, although I do not have personal experience with that since I reviewed a product I already owned.

Hopefully someone else can correct me if I'm wrong.

Thats the way I know it. Both of my students were able to get products the day after I published their reviews.

I will add that you should request two or three toy's, just in case there is a problem getting one of them.

thanks guys, & extra thanks to JR for the link....

Only problem is that every toy I've found that's under the price limit & has 3 or less reviews already published that fall into the glass dildo category I've discussed with my student ALL of them arent available as there are reviews pending on them.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks for finding review items for students?? I've tried both the regular site search & the reviewers product search but with no luck
